Hungry Are The Damned! 10/15/07-10/25/07 - COMPLETED W/LOTS OF PICS!!!

Hi ya Brenda!

Being a long time GWTW fan you hooked me with your previous report and I am delighted to see you back, hard at work at the keyboard, and just as full of fun as ever!

Ain't it amazing how all those eating plans that we made six months out turn to dust when confronted by the reality of the situation? And it always happens that the ADR's we most look forward to get cancelled. Grrrr!! As Bobby Burns once said,"The best-laid schemes o' mice an 'men Gang aft agley".:scared1:

It is as good an excuse as any for a return trip, the sooner the better.:hourglass

I think I will pass on the mustard as I do not like neither fries nor mustard though.

Looking forward to your further reports. Might get a few ideas for OUR next trip!

Slightly Goofy/Linda

Yeah! Brenda and Jay and lots and lots of food! You know our family can't slow down long enough at Disney to actually taste food, so I like to imagine what it might be like by reading your reports. Oh course Chuck and I are planning a just the two of us trip in December (it's my birthday!)soooo I might actually get a grownup meal or at least one of those No Way Joses. That would be a good way to celebrate 40, don't you think? :thumbsup2

woohooo another Brenda food report :yay:

Had to laugh that cheddar cheese is exotic :rotfl2: The sundae looks amazing B&C is definitely on my list for next August :thumbsup2

Yeah! Me loves some Brenda food reports!! popcorn:: Helps...ease..the...pain..of..no ..disney...for...a...year

You got the No Way .... Jose, too!:lmao:

I'm glad you liked it! We asked for all vanilla ice cream so OBVIOUSLY I agree with your review!

Keep up the reviews!!

Ms. H

Brenda!

I'm so glad you're writing a trippe :goodvibes sorry we didn't get to meet up, but I'm sure there will be a next time :thumbsup2

Looking forward to reading the rest! popcorn::

Yeah. I love your reports. You have a great sense of humor and love your writing style.

I am looking for a Reeses' in my Halloween candy stash now. After seeing the No Way Jose' , I need a peanut butter and chocolate fix.

Looking forward to the rest.

We have adr's at Yacht Club Galley for the 1st time this trip so I am interested to read your take on it.

This trip we are just missing the F&W festival - I am kind of glad because EPCOT was crazy when we were there last year.

Now you all have it mixed up!!! French fries MUST be dipped in a chocolate malt, shake, or some form of melty chocolate ice cream goodness. It is the only way I can handle the trips to Wendy's - fries dipped in a chocolate frosty.:goodvibes

I have to agree, our last trip to the Beach Club's visit to Beaches and Cream was Heavenly. The No Way Jose was yummy and the sundae my DS had with oreos for ears - I don't know what exactly it was (not the ones pictured here). It was as big as the No Way Jose.

Keep 'em comin...I'm getting hungrier by the minute!

Hi Brenda! :wave2: I just couldn't stay away from another Disney Dining ala Brenda and Jay! I always gain a pound or two after reading one of your foodie TRs! :sad2:

Nice cleavage.... errrr... sundae. :teeth:

I wasn't going to post, I just wanted to suscribe (which I had never done before). I'm LOL at the choices! Instant!! I need instant notification of a new post on this thread! :rotfl:

End of the day... bahahahaha.

Loving the trippie, BTW. Poor Jason! Sick on vacation and now he's vacuuming.

Didnt have Beaches and Cream on our list but I think we will have to fit it in just for the No Way Jose!!!

I love the restaurant boards and everyone who hangs out here ... I leave for a few hours to do some laundry and lament over our continued inability to win the Powerball jackpot and then come back to find all of your wonderful posts! All I can say is ... I can't stop eating!!!

Subscribing...

I love food reports, and from what I've read so far, yours is witty and fun to read! I'm fairly new, so this is the first I've had the pleasure to read.

Looking forward to it! I'm headed to WDW in 35 days. Ooh, that's exactly five weeks from today! WOO HOOOOO

Katie

Hi Katie, thanks for taking a read and welcome to the DIS! I hope these reviews help you out for your trip - be sure to ask any questions you may have and most importantly... have a great time! :goodvibes

Yeah! Brenda is back with more tales of food, fun and cleavage! I am so looking forward to this!! (And the flashing for Ice cream continues!!) As addicted to Ice cream as DH is, he wouldn't even consider splitting a No way, Jose with me!

What a wonderful way to gear up for our trip in 19 days! Who knows? I may actually write reviews/reports when I return. I have Brenda as an inspiration!:worship:

June

I think I did a much better job of keeping the girls under wraps on this trip... at least away from a camera! :lmao: How exciting ... you're leaving for the world in less than three weeks! You'd better write a review or I'll be terribly disappointed. :flower3:

Thanks for joining in, June - it's always good to hear from you!

Just found your trip report and saw this note... If you've never been, you've got to take a run to Crown Candy Kitchen if you are craving a great ice cream sundae. You won't regret it! The sundaes may not be as huge as B&C but they aren't quite as pricey. Homemade butterscotch, gooey hot fudge, ice creams, hand dipped malts served in the tin. ...

I'm looking forward to the next installment of your report!

Hi there, Liz, and thanks for the great tip about Crown Candy - we always hear such good things about it but would you believe we've never been? I suspect that is going to have to change some time very soon.

Thanks for reading - it's nice to have a local DISer on board; I was beginning to think that I was the only person in the STL-area on the DIS and that's ridiculously ego-centric, don't you think? ;)

Hi ya Brenda!

Hi yourself, Linda! Thanks for reading - I'm so glad you've enjoyed our silliness.

Slightly Goofy/Linda

This is the only trip we've made to WDW where we've canceled ADRs due to illness. We canceled Bistro last year due to both of us being replete to the point of satiety ... :lmao: but this was a totally different animal and it was a little frustrating to look forward to something for so long only to have to kiss it goodbye. But that's why we improvise.

Hope you enjoy the reviews to come!

Yeah! Brenda and Jason and lots and lots of food! You know our family can't slow down long enough at Disney to actually taste food, so I like to imagine what it might be like by reading your reports. Happy Birthday to you, Lynn! What a great way to celebrate your 40th birthday. You'd better nab at least one adult meal on this trip and then come back and tell us all about it! And ... have the No Way Jose as well as a nice dinner (I think you deserve both). :goodvibes

woohooo another Brenda food report :yay:

Had to laugh that cheddar cheese is exotic :rotfl2: The sundae looks amazing B&C is definitely on my list for next August :thumbsup2

Hi Jo! You can laugh ... I know it sounds funny. I like cheddar cheese, just not on a hamburger. So to me it does seem sort of exotic. And yes indeedy ... get yourselves on over to Beaches & Cream next year - you won't be sorry.

Yeah! Me loves some Brenda food reports!! popcorn:: Helps...ease..the...pain..of..no ..disney...for...a...year

Hello and thanks for stopping in! I think this report is going to have to ease my pain, too. ;)

You got the No Way .... Jose, too!:lmao:

I'm glad you liked it! We asked for all vanilla ice cream so OBVIOUSLY I agree with your review!

Keep up the reviews!!

Ms. H

Great minds, Ms. H; great minds! :thumbsup2

Next time around I will see if I can convince Jay to go with all vanilla ice cream - it never dawned on me to order it that way. :headache: I plead travel denseness. :rotfl:

Brenda!

I'm so glad you're writing a trippe :goodvibes sorry we didn't get to meet up, but I'm sure there will be a next time :thumbsup2

Looking forward to reading the rest! popcorn::

Erica!!! Thanks for coming over to check out this new version of FoodPorn.2007.

I'm actually waiting on a new phone, now - turns out the one I got this summer is a right piece of craptacular junk (but I guess we already knew that, didn't we?).

I'm so sorry about the snafu / illness last weekend, too, and I'm looking forward to meeting you and Lionel sometime in the not-too-distant future. While we may not end up at Disney, Jay and I have a hard time staying away from Florida and I'm thinking a trip to Universal may be in our future next year.

I hope you enjoy the rest of our reviews!

you certainly have a lot of fans!!!
I'm pretty hyped to get on board!

Hi there! Thanks for joining in and I hope you enjoy the reviews. There's always a really great group of DISers who end up re-living the food love with my hubby and me - I hope you have as much fun as we do with it! :goodvibes

This trip we are just missing the F&W festival - I am kind of glad because EPCOT was crazy when we were there last year.

I'm kind of glad we don't have any Reese's in our Halloween candy this year because I would have eaten all of it by now! We did go back to the Yacht Club Galley for breakfast this year and without going into too much detail I will say it was probably the least happy / enjoyable meal of the entire trip. We could have just ended up there on a bad day, but we were disappointed this year compared with our past experiences there.

I hope you have a great trip and thanks for reading! :goodvibes

I do like fries with a good milk shake - that is a tasty combination, but I've never actually dipped my fries in dessert. Hmmmmmm.... I must cogitate on this and then take it for a trial run. ;)

Thanks for reading - I hope you enjoy the rest!

Nice cleavage.... errrr... sundae. :teeth:

Tracy! How ya been? This will be the last set of food reviews for a while so I hope I can live up to everyone's expectations.

Heh heh heh ... as soon as I saw that picture I turned to Jay and said, "What is it lately with ice cream, cleavage, and me?"

His repsonse was, "What ice cream?" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks for stopping by to read - I always look forward to your comments. :thumbsup2

You know ... instant notification could be a very bad thing. :lmao:

Well, I'm glad you posted just so I could say thanks for reading! And poor Jay is right ... he also had to dry the dishes, go out for a 2-mile walk with yours truly, and mow the lawn. Reality sucks, doesn't it?

Didnt have Beaches and Cream on our list but I think we will have to fit it in just for the No Way Jose!!!

Hi there! Definitely get to B&C if you can - you won't be sorry!

Can't wait for more reviews, It good so far. You have a really good sense of humor.

I am so in!! I'm a long time lurker and fan of your previous dining reports. Looking forward to your great reviews. We are going in December for Christmas, staying at the Yacht Club and hoping to go to Beaches and Cream. Looks so good.

While we may not end up at Disney, Jay and I have a hard time staying away from Florida and I'm thinking a trip to Universal may be in our future next year.

Funny you should say that.....

DH just mentioned this weekend that we should take all the kids to Universal instead of on a cruise next June. So now I am trying to plan a trip to Universal for myself, DH, a 5 yr old DS, a 15 yr old DSS and an 18 yr old DSD. Maybe we can meet! I'll be the one carrying a margarita around.....

Yay!!! Another Brenda food porn report!!! :cheer2:

I just celebrated my birthday Thursday at the California Grill. I loves me some Valrohna Chocolate Cake!!!! Aren't we lucky to be born during the Food and Wine Festival????? :cool1:
