On IMDB (internet movie database), it has updated information!!! The director is Gary Ross, the writers are Suzanne Collins (of course) and Billy Ray. They've already casted Peeta!!! It's gonna be Gabriel Liotta. I've never heard of him. They say the movie is set to release in late spring/early summer! Can't wait!!!!!! Who else is gonna go see the premiere?

It's rumored that Alex Pettyfer is going to play Peeta! But once again, it's just a rumor, it's only official if it's been approved by Lions Gate.

I LOVED THESE BOOKS!! the first one was my favorite. I would LOVE Alex Pettyfer as Peeta. he would be amazing in that role. I saw in some magazine that some chick off of True Grit was rumored to play Katniss. So sorry her name escapes me. You know who would be really good in Katniss' role if she was younger? Angelina Jolie. but thats just my opinion

They actually just cast Jennifer Lawrence(sp?) as Katniss not too long ago. I personally don't think she looks right for the part, but I guess make-up can take care of that. hopefully she does well, I haven't seen her act, so I don't know if she's good at it or not.

i just googled her. NO WAY!!! now i think she may have the face for katniss but she needs to dye her hair. i have always pictured katniss with dark hair. but thats just me. i guess a blonde doesnt fit that part. i am not hating on blondes cause i am a blonde myslef. haha

I totally agree with you- I bet they will dye her hair for the movie, though. The way they describe the people from the seam, she needs to have dark hair.

I was on this one website where this person had all these picks for like every role in the movie. It was pretty cool because they had people that I would never even think of for a certain role. Like they had Drew Seeley for the part of Gale, and some they would have multiple people and you could vote on who you think would be perfect.

The same website also talked about the director and Suzanne Collins picking Katniss and the reasons why. It was like a interview. Its pretty cool.

No problem! I thought it was pretty cool. the only thing i disagreed on is I didnt think that they would cast someone as big as Patrick Dempsey as that small of role.

I loved Abigail Breslin as Prim. She is beyond perfect for that role. She really knows how to play the innocent part.
I also like Lucas Till as Peeta and Annasophia Robb as Madge. although the girl underneath her looked the part
