ok, a hug and a message. You really got to me kid. The hurt and vulnerability you showed in this week's podcast got to me, as a dad i just wanted to hug you and let you know it'll be alright (even if I'm scared and not too sure myself). I have three sons, all younger than you, I hope they can grow up to inherit a world where people do not need to live in fear or shame for who they are, for who they love. I hope my three sons can grow up to be just like you. Best wishes.

Ok, and a group hug with the rest of the team.

I came out of lurking of this and I hate hugs, ya'll should feel special.

Completely agree with this. The whole show broke my heart on Tuesday and then watching Craig do the news yesterday. I do not know the team personally, but all these tradegies hit so close to home for me because they allow us into their lives, so it felt so personal. Hugs all around.

Amen. I listened to the whole thing last night, then promptly listened again because it felt like I should. At a time when so many feel powerless, Ryno's words ironically were very powerful to me, and I hope to others, in reminding me to keep front and center the thought that what we should all be working toward in everything that we do is to make sure no one has to feel like this. My son is 10, and if he grows up to be anything like Ryno, I'll be honored.

I certainly didn't mean to dismiss the rest of the team. They all spoke of getting beat up because of who they love and that stings a bit too, I guess I'm just embarrassed that we still haven't gotten past this. I know i shouldn't be, I read the news and the hostile laws or elected officials pass.

I just can't get out of my mind the things Reno said about wearing a rainbow Mickey shirt. A freakin shirt in 2016, and he feels as through he needs to be careful or ashamed. Ryno, I'm so sorry. I'm about to sound awful, but I think I'm also a bit upset about it because my little bubble has been pierced. The way I thought, I hoped, the world was has been broken. Sure there's fight about marriage and discriminatory practices. There's still a pointless debate on if sexuality is a choice, but maybe, just maybe I was clinging to the hope that a rainbow Mickey wasn't controversial, that we made some sort of progress. Maybe we are, but I'm feeling hurt by this giant step backwards.

My kids are 4, 5, 13 and I hope that when they see a shirt with a rainbow Mickey on it that they just think "oh look, a rainbow." My oldest is getting a little more worldly and knows what the rainbow flag represents.

I feel confident in speaking for the community here; We listen/watch/follow the podcast(s) because of the team. Sure we love Disney but there are many other Disney podcasts, we choose to be friends with you. Yes, the friendship may be one sided as you do not know us, but its friendship none the less. When you hurt, we hurt. My favorite podcasts and podcast moments is when you let us into your personal friendships with one another. The teasing, the arguments, Bob's passing, stories of the kids and cats, and even tragedy let us in. It's what makes this podcast home.

Watching the podcast this week, my heart broke for everyone but especially Ryno. I don't know any of the team personally, but this week realized how much I came to feel like I know them through the podcast and the forums; I was hurting to see them hurting. I'm sending lots of love and hugs to the team... And if someone is seeing the team next month and is giving hugs, give an extra hug for me.

Sign me up! Posts like this make me cry, and melt my heart. A lot of us don't know each other, as well as maybe not even personally knowing the team, but the way we feel, and hurt when they do, we're a special kind of family. It really is overwhelming to see all of the love. I'm proud to be a part of this.
