Thanks to the many threads on purchasing gift cards at Target and getting 5% back, I went ahead and signed up for the Target Red Card. I've been buying them a few at a time here and there. I just called and applied $1,000 worth to my room balance. :cool1: The CM couldn't have been any sweeter - the whole process took 20 minutes - 20 GCs total.

I plan on accumulating more and paying off the entire room before the trip.

Thank you to all - I LOVE the Budget Board!! :thumbsup2

Yes, lots of great tips on the budget board. I just used my chase freedom that is getting 5% back on gift cards at Giant Eagle(a local grocery store) and got several tanks of free gasoline with it. Love saving any little bit I can.:thumbsup2

Can I pay off my balance at check-in with multiple gift cards? Or is there a way to consolidate a bunch of cards? I am sure it's been asked, but I am new to this idea! And I love it!

KEEP all the gift cards in case you have to change your plans. Disney returns it to the original form of payment...

Yes, you can pay off the balance at check in with multiple cards. I didn't want to waste vacation time doing it then, that's why I called. I don't believe there is a way to consolidate GCs.

Thanks. I wasn't planning on paying off our entire balance, but maybe the last little bit, depending on when and how many cards I am able to sneak into the weekly budget. I like this idea because I can stretch out the inevitable. Gotta love the DIS.
