HUGE issue with Gay Days conventions tix, PLEASE HELP!!

OK, all my DIS peeps who are so knowledgeable. We have a big time issue going on with the Gay Days convention tickets and I need some help!

I bought several convention-rate tickets by using the link from the gaydaysanahiem website which goes directly to the Disney convention ticket page. The Gay Day tickets must be purchased by 9/29 and according to the wording on the link can be used from 9/30 to 10/14.

There is additional information that reads "Valid for the number of days on ticket for three (3) days prior to specified convention date for a total of 14 consecutive day period. Dates vary according to convention."

I bought these tickets and they arrived very quickly. They are regular blue park hoppers with Mickey and Minnie and Goofy, etc. On the back they say "Valid from 9/30/08 to 10/13/08. I plan to visit the park 10/7,8,9.

Another poster bought these tickets and claims that they were told by Guest Services they had to use the tickets by 9/30 OR THEY EXPIRE. I have called three times and have been told each time I can use the tickets any day during the span of 9/30 to 10/13 which is what I thought. I can't understand why someone would say they would only be good on 9/30 if Gay Days is 10/3,4,5?

Can anyone help clear this up? I spent almost $1000 on these tickets. Anyone used convention tix before or going to Gay Days or bought these tickets? THANKS!

i almost bought them and when i was i heard they excpire 10/13 i think is the day. there is no way they excpire 9/30 gay days is oct 3-5th and they last 14days thats always what i understood

so eatier one call some one or two the other person dosnet know what they were talking about

Thanks, Jade. I did call someone and they told me I could use them during that time. Right now I just need to hear it from more than one person before I completely freak out.

hay its ok right now im freaking about a check not getting where it should be by now. but i have back up plan cash if nothing else.

but i was looking at going with this. i ended up with disney becosue got food too . but i sware you should be fine the tickets should be good id hate to be worring about that

Good luck getting that check, I know you leave soon, too. I hate that I am worrying too, but am afraid there is the slightest chance this could be right and then I'm out the money and the tix!

PP said he talked to someone in guest services; well, guest services has been known to be wrong before! They just don't always have the current or correct information. Witness the fact that they were STILL telling people in August to check in for Fantasmic at 7 p.m., when the check-in time had been changed to 8 p.m. in early June!

I think you will be fine. Many previous posters have used tickets like this without such restrictons.

Don't worry! We also bought these tickets for our trip Oct 6th - Oct 9th. You don't have to use them by 9/30!

If they followed bluegrizzlies post in the OP like they said, we have the exact same tickets. The dates we are debating are the same...

We used the gay days tickets last year right around the dates you are going and had no problems at all. I think the other poster was just misinformed, or maybe misunderstood. I really think you should be fine!

OP you are fine if you are going 10/7-9...the cm was confused(like always) as I indicated in above post...earliest you can use them is 9/30 and last day to use them is 10/14...calm down..breathe...your gonna be fine...

This is what I had mentioned in the earlier thread about getting cheap tickets. I really hope the person who purchased these convention tickets and was not planning on going to DL until October 14 took the time to call and verify whether or not they could be used. It would be a shame to waste that money since they are not returnable or refundable ......

Ok heres the deal with theses tickets you can not add days to your parkhoppers.

Now what everyone is wanting to know they can be used between 9-30-08 to 10-14-08.

Now your first day has to be used between these days and you have 13 days after to use the rest of the days.

It is the same rules as reg tickets except your first day has to be between those dates and yhou can not upgade for more days.
