So I get an email from the salesman that we took the tour from back in February and he ask me if we are still interested because there are huge changes coming to DVC. I replied to his email asking what the huge changes are.....waiting for his response. Will let you know if I hear from him. But in the meantime has anyone else heard of any "Huge changes coming to DVC?"

Sounds like a sales tactic. Bet the poly is the huge change.

He would like to take a huge amount of change from your pocket, and put it into his.
 

I'm surprised they would put that in an email, I thought the guides didn't use email because you would have written proof of what they said.

"Hugh Changes" isn't really a term that the courts would find legally binding and is up to interpretation.

It is probably on their approved "words to use" sales tool list. :surfweb:

The big change is because we're obviously buying! :cool1:

But yeah, it's a sales tactic. I'm in sales and we use that all the time.

He's probably just referring to the Poly DVC opening and (probably) Grand Flo Villas selling out, which will change the sales market. Poly will probably be waaaay over priced.

I can't picture any "huge changes" to the way DVC operates.
 
Or more member "opportunities" like the Splitsville deal. Or a price increase when the Poly starts selling.

Generally, I like to know what I'm buying - huge changes are not a great sales tactic.
 
I'm a DVC owner for only 4 years, and lurked before that for about a year and a half. But I have seen that periodically people post that their guide told them about "huge changes," and the changes usually do not amount to anything "huge." The only thing I would categorize as "huge" is the limits set on owners by resale.
But 99% of the time, this is just a sales tactic, and the "huge" turns out to be increased price per point (what a surprise!) or a new DVC resort.
 
Last week, my guide called to inform me that another price increase would soon be announced.

He and I email back and forth several times...He wants to know if I am still interested and I reply saying yes but still looking at my options and he will send me information on properties, etc.
 
They are due for some HUGE changes...

Last minute 'deals' that would benefit members AND DVC by filling unfilled inventory 14 days in advance - ONLY for new reservations.
Gift weeks that members can give away at a reduced price.
Really.... my list could go on... and on!
