Hucifer and Dan's flipping huge trip report *Last 3 days/Epilogue! 10/9, pgs 36-38*

Loukili must have been really tall! (Dan is 6' 5" right?)
Yep, Dan is 6'5". Dang girl, you remember that kind of stuff???

And yes, Dan was told to crouch or Loukili refused to have his picture taken with him...said he couldn't be shorter than the guests or something.

I've seen your TR since last Spring and never had time to open it.

I finally found some time, this rainy coldl Sunday afternoon, 15 minutes before the Green Bay Packer Game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Packers lost, Brett Favre stopped his scoring streak, and I finally finished this 1 hour after the Bears killed the Pack.

My husband wondered what I was reading all afternoon, usually I do a lot of posting. Your a great writer. Me and my husband will be without any of our kids this coming Spring, you gave me a lot of great ideas. Looking forward to the end.

I do not know what I would do if commanded to sing "I'm a little teapot" in front of dozens of people...this is probably why I don't eat at the Prime Time...ever. It scares me.

Have fun on your work trip!

I started singing. Loud. “There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow!”

“…shining at the end of every day!” Dan sang back, just as loud.

“Let’s sing this whenever we encounter people that need it,” I suggested.

And thus begun an obnoxious and deliberate way that we would spread the Magic whenever we saw it was deficient around the World. And believe me, we would be doing a LOT of Magic-spreading for the last few days.

If only I'd seen this before my MK adventures today! In my head, I'm singing it now... to the mean CM taking my order at Cosmic Ray's.... to the grouchy mom yelling at her husband in front of the Barnstormer... to the evil dad threatening to make his family drink hot cocoa in the 98 degree heat if they didn't get a move-on.....
Thank you - now I'm armed with the necessary magic for the next trip! :thumbsup2

Ok, I'm just joining in the fun~read all the reports (and comments) today! I even bribed my hubby to read one or two pages, and he got so engrossed, he didn't get up from the 'puter til he read them all! LOVE YOUR REPORTS Wendy! I remember reading your last one, was it 2 years ago? You and Dan sound like an absolute blast to hang around. I'm so glad he <finally> got to experience Blizzard Beach. What was the reason you guys didn't make it last trip?

anyway, I'm waiting breathlessly for more!

~Heather

You know how a watched pot never boils....well I have been waiting all August for more installments. Early Sept my computer crashes and I am without the Dis board for 2 weeks. Now we are back and I see that you are too....lots and lots of posts...YEAH!!!!
All funny of course...love it...keep it going... :cool1:

OhMari, when you put it like THAT...wow...this trip report is really dragging, isn't it? Well, I'm glad that you're still enjoying this thing.

stinkerbelle's mom, glad to see that you're still hanging in there! :thumbsup2

Maleficent13, I'm back a whole week early! Thought I might get some writing done this weekend. We'll see. Oh and don't worry about being publicly ridiculed as long as you behave. The food is good there!

PrincessV, it can turn a sour situation into a laugh-fest. Dan and I encountered some un-magical stuff here and there and when you both belt into song, the bad feelings really do go away! I will be mentioning another situation coming up in a few days.

hunnypotmama, welcome to my 2005 report! Yes, I remember you from the last report. And your husband is reading too...that's nice of you to share. Dan didn't make it to Blizzard Beach last time because the day I scheduled to go there they were closed. We never were able to make it back there on the trip last time.

hezreck and louey, thanks for joining the TR!

Sheri...you knew that I was away on travel...didn't you? I had literally no access to a computer. I don't have a laptop and we were working in a shop where computers are hard to find. Please forgive me.

twob4him, glad you're still reading! Hopefully your computer problems are done.

We arrive at the Magic Kingdom around 5-ish and discover that oops, we’re hungry. So I walk into Tony’s to see about their availability.

“We’re booked until Sunday,” the CM tells me. Lady, we’re leaving on Sunday. What about the LTT? That’s – gasp! – booked for the evening too.

I do the Walk of Defeat back to Dan to tell him the news. But the news doesn’t deter Dan at all; in fact, he has that sinister look in his eyes again. “Do you want to eat at the Liberty Tree Tavern tonight?”

“Dan, no. We couldn’t do that again!”

“Come on, it isn’t hurting anyone. It’s not like we’re eating for free and Disney isn’t getting our money.”

“But I feel so guilty.”

Guilt isn’t much of a motivator (or de-motivator, in this case) for Dan. Once his mind is set, forget trying to talk him out of anything. Emotional tactics never work either. He’s a hard shell to crack at times.

So my guilty self stands outside in the sprinkly rain (sigh) and waits for the verdict. A few minutes later he comes out and says rather loudly, “We’re all set.” He says this because he knows they’re listening inside.

I tell him he’s bad, but I’m hungry, so I follow him in and greet the friendly hostess who is waiting for us. It must have been early, because the restaurant looked pretty empty. The hostess seats us at a table for two. So far, Dan and I are the first ones in the section. I drop Mickey on the table next to my place setting. I tell Dan to order me some water and I sprint for the bathroom.

Now, any woman that has ever tried to use the restroom at the LTT knows this before I even type it. The ladies’ restroom has only three stalls. And early or not, considering the size of this restaurant and how long the average woman takes in a bathroom trip, calculated by the number of women already present, divide that by the number of sinks, factoring in whether there are paper towels or hand dryers…also figure in if children are present and need assistance…well, it’s all very scientific. Needless to say at this point (but I’m going to anyway), I was gone for a bit.

During my absence, Dan gets a couple of visitors. The first one was Minnie. She pointed to the empty chair and Pal Mickey and shrugged as if to ask where I was. Dan says, “My wife’s in the restroom.”

Minnie nods, waves her hand to tell him she’ll be back, and leaves the area.

Next, Pluto comes over. Dan says “Hi Pluto” and tells him that I have stepped away and will be back shortly. Pluto nods, turns to leave, and accidentally bumps my Pal Mickey off the table. Dan gasps and says, “What did you do? You knocked over the BOSS!”

Pluto freaks out. He immediately grabs my Pal Mickey from the floor, brushes him off to make sure he’s clean, and gingerly puts him back on the table. Then he head-dives for the nearest booth, gets into a fetal position, and shakes as if he’s about to be reprimanded. After a few minutes, Pluto realizes that no one is going to fire him, so he uncoils himself from the booth and tiptoes out of the area.

Minnie returns at this point. She again points to my empty chair. Dan says, “She’s still in the bathroom…you know women.”

Nice, isn’t he? I’m waiting in line upstairs, and this is the crap I get?

Well, this really offended Minnie. She put her hands on her hips and tapped her foot at Dan, who immediately blurted out an apology. She left in a huff. A few minutes later I finally return from my bathroom experience and Dan fills me in on everything I missed.

During the meal, the characters come out again. Minnie didn’t want anything to do with Dan at first. But after he got on his knees and begged for her forgiveness, she warmed up to him considerably.

Minnie eventually forgave Dan. Even she recognizes that men don't get on their knees for us too often. Also for those of you who care, you will notice the absence of all things fanny pack.

When Pluto stopped by, he made extra-sure that he didn’t knock over his boss again, and instead cradled him like a baby.

Pluto isn't making that mistake again. Easy does it, guy. That's the boss ya got there.

Our dinner at the LTT was fantastic again. We both highly enjoy the food here…in fact, Dan says it is his favorite meal at WDW now. The boy is so fickle.

After dinner, we tinkered around the park until it was time for Spectromagic. This parade was the reason we came to MK tonight. The last time I saw this one it was called the Main Street Electrical Parade and WDW only had two parks. So, I was pretty jazzed about seeing it.

Dan and I waited on the curb between Main Street and the castle. I have to say that neither of us were disappointed with the parade…it is just beautiful! But it is one of the longest parades I’ve ever seen…it must have gone on for 25 minutes. So when it was finally over, it was time to check out a good spot to see Wishes. We walked over to the Tomorrowland Terrace and grabbed seats at the balcony. It ended up being a wonderful spot to see the fireworks (sitting down, no less! Yay!), and an even better place to watch Tinkerbelle, since she flies directly over our heads.

Even after Wishes, the park was still packed. We didn’t need to take a vote…we were so done with this day.

I know, I know, the picture quality sucks. But this will give you an idea of how crazy-crowded these parks were during our visit.

Next installment: Day 8. Dan, the Walking Accident

Hmmm. PM me. I'll give you some new ones!!!! :teeth:

Also for those of you who care, you will notice the absence of all things fanny pack.
Because you took it off and left it on the table before you went to the loo, didn't you?? Come on. 'Fess up!!!!!!

You are CRAZY, lady! How do you DO it???????????

I think perhaps you have a stalker ... you've read the warnings about these creepy people who lurk online, right? :scared:

You better hope CMs who work as restaurant hostesses don't read the DIS or Dan is SO BUSTED next time he tries this! Come to think of it, that would make for a really funny chapter in your next TR. :scratchin GO DAN! (Because, you know, it's all about us - your faithful readers!)

Hey Wendy...It's Lou.... Remember me? I asked you once about buying a "Pal Mickey" and was it worth it. We Pm'd a couple of times about various things... Anyhow I just stumbled upon your trip report and got up to the MNSSHP part. I was there on the night of 9/30 too!.....The "Guys Only No Wives Allowed Brew Ha Ha" Trip. :thumbsup2

I'm going to have to go over all my pics from that trip and see if you and Dan are in any of 'em. Man it was packed that night (9/30). We're hitting it again this year....Sept. 29-Oct.4. Are you guys going to be there?

This struck me funny. Very very :rotfl2: funny!!!

Glad you're back. When are you going to WDW again??? Huh? Are you going to be there in 2 weeks? Are ya?

Well if Sher is first then I want to be last (just to annoy her) but at the rate this is going no one will be last because it is the Neverending Story (wasn't that already written)? But Wendy I know you are dying to know this.....the men's room in the LTT is just as small. Maybe even smaller. When eating at the LTT it is advisable to use the bathrooms outside right around the bend from the restaurant. Pal Mickey doesn't tell you that part. Who's your pal now? :teeth:

BTW when you crash the LTT without a ressie do they still announce what state you are from? Or do they skip that part because they really don't believe you?
