:cloud9: Hi everyone, my husband and I got married in 1995 and we have decided to renew our wedding vows at WDW!! We honeymooned at Disney and each year we come back more and more, this year alone, 4 times!! I keep coming back to the Disney wedding forum and read about all the beautiful brides and it gave me a great idea to celebrate our love all over again with a vow renewal ceremony. We just celebrated 10 beautiful years together and spent our Anniversary at Disney. My hubby wanted to wait until our 15th to celebrate a "milestone", however, I am impatient and feel that there is no time like the present!! So we met in the middle and decided on December 08.

I have read a lot of the posts, have visited the FTW website and am so confused at to Custom or Intimate. I have pm'd PrincessMo after viewing her beautiful wedding video and spent hours reading Janet2k's wedding vow renewal adventure!! I laughed and cried through both...I am such a sap!! :rotfl:
I want this to be absolutely perfect for both of us. My Mom was not able to attend our wedding so I always felt as if a piece of me was missing. This time she will be able to attend and it will feel just right!!!

My wedding guest list is around 10-12 people. A small party by most standards. Since we are getting re-married in December, I worry about weather being a factor as it can get chilly. I really want to have our ceremony late afternoon (around 5-6pm). Also, the other dilemma...because our party size is so small, I am worried about meeing the minimum for a Custom yet a Intimate has so many restictions. We want to use either the wedding pavillion or Seabreeze Point at the Boardwalk for our ceremony. The reception...something tropical and elegant(we love the Yacht Club and the Boardwalk...lots of special memories!!)

If we go with the Intimate, it sounds like we are on our own for the reception. I do not want to just make dinner reservations and show up for dinner. Of course we want something special. Does anyone know if they offer private dining in a Boardwalk Area restaurant or in Epcot. Also, we are very interested in an Illuminations Dessert Party for our guests as well. Can either of these things be scheduled if you just go with the Intimate Ceremony? Then I thought, well if you put all this together would it equal a Custom package?? I logged into the Wishbook on FTW website, and it's hard to tell about pricing for venues. I will definitely be putting a phone call into FTW today.

Anyway, now that I have rambled on for a while, I was hoping that all brides could help answer these questions or share their experiences!! I hope you have a magcial day!

We are planning our vow renewal in 08 as well (20 years) and would like to know the experiences. I read that for a Illuminations desert party you have to have a minimum of 20 people, but I am not sure if they will just let you pay for the 20 and still have the 10-12 people attend. Unfortunately the wishbook only shows this years prices, so I went ahead and put in all the things that I wanted to get an idea of cost. Have a great time planning!

How wonderful! I am soo excited for you! You will have a beautiful day no matter which way you go.

My husband and I are planning on renewing in 2008 too. Kids keep telling us not to wait for milestone years, all have lost inlaw parents that were young so we are doing it on our 35th. We have 5 kids 3 are married and as of right now 2 grandsons, 1 on the way and another being planned. DisneyWorld has been are only vacation spot our family has known (except 2 years we drove out to Disneyland). We have been going since 1976. Seemed like the perfect place to have our family come together to make more memories. Can't wait good thing we have this years trip up and next summer. I would love tips from others that have done this.
