I'm wondering about how long the HSM2 show is and where the best place is to watch it. Also, about how early you think we should get there to get a good spot to see. We're going the end of October. I'm sure my dd's will love this show! Thanks!

I have not seen it in DL. I did see it in WDW in Feb (just hsm). Believe me you cannot miss it if you tried. It seemed to be every hour on the hour. It was a travelling stage dd11 loved it. It darn near drove me crazy...along with the power rangers. If it is the same it probably is in dca and travels around also. Believe me you WILL see it:rotfl2:

The show is about.. 15-ish minutes long? And if you're going in October, it shouldn't be that hard to find a good spot about 10 minutes before hand, but I always like be front and center in the Sun Wheel location. ;)

Yeah, it's about 15 minutes long. Usually, the Paradise Bay location tends to be less crowded than Sunshine Plaza, though neither have been too bad in my experience.

I caught it there the day after Labor Day:

I really gotta hand it to these kids. It was about 100 degrees in the shade, there wasn't much of a crowd, and they had already performed it down at Sunshine Plaza, but they really put a lot of energy and enthusiasm into the show! :cheer2:

both section has the same amount of people to be honest...

i would site a bit to the right or left because i know a lot of kids like those confetti.

heh, most ODV and attraction people are under the sun the entire day... :|

Yes, there are 3 stops times each day. They are dead in the afternoon. Usually 11:30, 1:00 & 3:15. We have seen this show a million times. Well atleast it feels like it. We always sit dead center of the first stop. Basically we use the big sun and the bridge as our guide. Unlike other parades the float only faces one way so you have to be sitting on the bridge. If you sat on the wrong side a CM would tell you as that is where the float parks. The confetti does go to the side but they let the kids run out and go get it.

My daughter loves the show so much that after the frist stop of the show she walks with the float to the next stop and then watches it there too! She dances down the parade route and then we stand off to the side for the 2nd one.

One suggestion I have is to bring a blanket with you. We never leave home without one to DL anymore. We have one that folds up into itself and has a carrying strap. So when it comes time for parades or hsm2 show then we lay down the blanket. It holds your spot and avoids having people sitting right on top of you. B/C the HSM show is limited viewing and only stops twice the stops tend to get very full.

Thanks so much for the advice, everyone! Brooklyn, how early do you usually save your spot for the first show? I'm sure my dd's will love this and will want a good spot. Also, where did you get your cool blanket?

10 - 15 min? or what you can do is hide by hollywood and follow the float to its location which will make you right on the side front row...

Well we are usually on the crazy. I always plan 30 mins before. I usually set up the blanket and my husband and the kids go look in the stores or go get ice cream. I just chose to go early so I know that my DD's will get their spot.

We got our blanket at Target. They are usually in the camping/picnic stuff. We never leave home without it! Actually we keep it in the car. :lmao: We take so many :lmao: last minute trips to DL that I never want to be without it.

Have a great time!!!
