Music from Rock the Universe artists will be added to the onboard sound system of the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster during the Christian-music festival at Universal Studios theme park next month.
Rock the Universe-goers will be able to hear the selections after arriving at the event Sept. 9-10. Hidden tracks have been tucked away on Rockit ever since it opened in 2009, but this is the first time theyve been officially promoted as an option.
Riders press a code number into a keypad built into the lapbars of the roller coaster. The corresponding music then travels with riders via speakers built into the seat. The system is individualized. Every rider gets his or her choice.
Universal has not specified which songs will play. Codes for the Rock the Universe version of Rockit are:
Switchfoot 773
David Crowder Band 778
Family Force 5 772
Casting Crowns 774
Third Day 775
RED 777
Tenth Avenue North 779
Brandon Heath 776
