HRH Sept. Chances of Upgrade w/ Loews 1st?

We'll be staying at HRH for the first time next month. First time onsite at Univ for that matter, and very excited! Anyway, does it seem likely that there will be Loews 1st room upgrades available at that time of year? We have a garden room booked, so would we be upgraded to a pool view?

I do hope that we will get the upgrade, b/c I passed up a slightly less expensive rate that was ineligible for Loews benefits, in favor of a AAA rate!

Your chances of getting an upgrade will be greatly increased if you are arriving mid-week and if you have a qualifying rate. The occupancy rates are very low in September, but sometimes sell out at weekends.

at the time i book, i tell them i have the loews gold and my upgrade is done then.

the only time i have been upgraded after check in was due to issues that happened after check in.


i use the loews and AAA when i book. i guess it has been a hit or miss on which employee allows you to use both programs. i have always used both.
so far, i have been lucky.

i thought if you used the pap you could not get the loews benefits.

I just reserved Club for Oct and asked about upgrades. I was told the only Loews upgrade ever available at booking is from Gardenview to Deluxe. Don't know if it's true or not. That is with AAA which I was told is a 'qualifying rate' for all Loews perks.

which hotel?
if at hrh or rph, and you book garden the upgrade is pool side.


if you book pool side then the upgrade can be what they have available at the time.

i have gone from garden to suite before but that was a manager's decision and i doubt it would happen again.

Sorry, Macraven, it's at HRH. That is the 'upgrade available at time of booking'. There is the 'possibility of suite upgrade available for $35' at time of check in. (according to the Loew's phone people).

my usual stays at hrh i have upgraded with the gold loews card when i booked. did get a suite on an upgrade once before.

i know very little on rph as this october is my first stay there.
all i know is the hrh. i booked the garden room and received the pool view with the gold loews.
