HRH & HHN Review 10/10-10/13

This report is mostly to say that HRH has redeemed it's self to me. The first trip there was lack luster to say the least this time was prefection. From the time we pulled up the valet greeted us right away and welcomed us. We checked in at 8:30 in the morning and our room was ready. We reserved a garden view std room and rev'd a deluxe room. The room was nice and big and the location was not bad. The room was really nice and they sent my cd to the room once they found one. They where out at check in and offered to send it to my home! Well after we left and visited the parks when we came back there it was. I called to see where the amenities where at 3:30 since we requested they be there at 3 and they said they'd be right up. It was'nt 10 minutes later a guy with a servering tray knocked at the door. He had a table full of great goodies!!! The manager sent us a fruit and cheese and crackeer assortment with wine and our amentie of beer and nuts. The food was devine!!!!!!! Best cheeses ever. Anyways we took off and did HHN's which was just he best. I loved every minute of it. I thought i'd be freaked and would'nt enjoy it. The crowd and the parks where just awesome!!!! We had the best time and even though the rains saturday night slowed things down for about an hour it finally stopped and we continued on. The houses where just amazing. The all night die in, scream house, and pycho something where my favorites jungle of doom was really good and i loved the bill and ted show. The actors and scareactors where just amazing. I think i was too involved admiring there work to get to scared of them. I kept saying to my husband these guys are just awesome. Everyone was so great and at the all night die in i had one booger set his chin on my shoulder and scared the crap outta me. Then i realized he'd gotten that fake blood on my shirt and i worried about it not coming out but it did and that was no biggy. I think after he touched me i got alittle more scared than i was. I did'nt think anyone would touch me, sure some bump into you but i was'nt expecting him to get so close i guess. But it was all good and i loved it. We are already planning a trip for next years shows. Just way to much fun. I blew my diet for the weekend on drinking at margaritaville but well worth it! I did have my Hurricane at Pat O'breins something in many, many trips past i failed to do. I also did shriek which was cool and we did cat in the hat which we'd never done. For the record blutes barge was operational day and night when we where there and we did posidens' fury. It was new Taylor from the last time in April. He was great and the story line was somewhat different yet the same. It was great and i've always enjoyed it. The crowds where high and we bought express for HHN's we needed it. We only used it for the houses and caught the last show of bill and ted's. Also something new this trip we ate at The Palms at the HRH. OMG i'm dying to go back there already. This resturant and service was top notch. The quality of the food was excellent and our waitress Jill was just awesome. I love that kind of pampering it's like the service at Emeril's but with GREAT food.LOL We had the soups and salad and i was feeling ill so we stopped there. I can not wait to eat there again. I highly recommend this resturant guys highly and i'm very picky about recommending anything. Besides Mama Della's that is and Margaritaville.LOL We had a blast and can't wait to go back. Now where to stay? I think HRH guys it was great and did i mention we got a late 2 pm check out of course we did'nt actually leave the room till almost 3. My husband was having to retrive a knife he had in his pocket when we entered HHN's. It took 45 minutes to get it back from guest services. My husband said the security guy walked up to him and asked if he was at HHN's last night. Which my husband replied yes. Then he asked if he was waiting on something. Again YES> my husband said he acted as if they where doing a drug deal. Pulling him to the side and questioned him if he was planning to go back into the park and such. I wished we would have know they where gonna have metal detectors up at HHN entrances we would have cleaned out pockets better. THe detector kept going off with my dh.LOL HE forgot to take his altoids outta his front pocket.LOL Anyways had we have known this we could have prevented all this waste of there time and ours. I hope if you guys have the chance you go to this event it's just a great time and well worth the 150 bucks for two tickets and two express books. We are making plans for next years! If you have any questions i'd be glad to answer them best i can for ya. Oh before i forget we ate lunch yesterday at Mythos andit was the best as always we had soup, pizza and plantan nachos. And i FINALLY tried the gooey bannana cake. OMG it was wonderful i'm so glad i got a chance to do some of this first i never got to do before.

I think my jaw hit the ground as I read this report! I am so happy you enjoyed HRH! Never thought I would hear you say that or that you would head back again! Excellent!!! Makes me so excited to be heading there in December. Your trip sounds like you guys had an awesome time. Glad you also got a chance to do some of the things you missed on trips prior. So the deluxe was a nice room? What room were you in? I'm hoping for a suite but if not will request a deluxe. We'll be there at a much quieter time than what you had. HHN sounds like great fun and I hope to try it out next year! Its nice to hear The Palm was a good experience for you, we had a not so good one but am willing to try again.

Jess the HRH was awesome this go around and we had a blast. The room was really really nice. I don't know why i did'nt take pictures. The room was larger and the beds where very comfy and nice with a light white duvet cover on them. The bathroom had like a sink area with a mirror and hair dryer then in the bathroom there was a standard bathtub w/shower and another sink in that area. It was'nt large or anything but not cramped either. There was a sofa next to the window that was shaped like a u and ran down both sides of the wall proabley could seat six on it. It was nice and comfy too. Plenty of drawer space too. It was different that PBH but just as nice in most ways. If the service is good you will not be dissappointed if its not you'll pick the room to death like i did the first trip and find things you hate about it. The walk was off the elevator and down a corridor take a slight right and the second room on the left over looking the lake and the parking garage at universal but i'm not one to give a flip about a view. The only thing i wished they'd change is add balcony's but that aint' gonna happen. Our room was 5119. You will have fun and the BIGGEST reason i would stay there again is walking to the parks just can't be beat. By the time you could walk to the boat dock you could be at the parks so it's a definate advantage. You will have fun at christmas time i'm sure of it. PBH was so nice last year during the holidays. And yeah the Palm is on my to do list for next trip and i never made it to scwabs for my milkshake either. We tried twice but it was'nt open both times.

Tammy so glad you enjoyed HRH. We were at PBH on that rainy Saturday night and I was thinking of everyone at the party so I am glad that you still had a great time. We tried HRH last year and PBH this year and my family is divided on favorites.
