This paragraph was taken from our confirmation email:

For our guests traveling with children, our Family Concierge is here to help make sure that your family is as comfortable, relaxed, and entertained as possible. If you have any questions or would like to receive further information on our family activities, please feel free to contact us by email at hrhconcierge@loewshotels.com.

What could these activities be? I don't even know enough about them to ask a question.

We're staying at HRH next trip too and I got the same email. Here is a little info off the website but I also plan on calling and asking more specifics. I'll let you know.

Here's how it works:
Advise us that you are traveling with children at the time of reservation and provide us with your preferred mailing address or fax number. Our Family Concierge in your destination will contact you in advance of your arrival with the following:

List of local family activities
A Loews Family listing of our in-hotel family-friendly and kid-friendly activities and special offers
Several articles from our Family Concierge program partner Parenting, the award-winning family magazine and website
Name and contact details for the Family Concierge, so that you can contact him/her at any time before or during your stay

Variety of activities including poolside “dive-in” movies, rock & pop culture trivia contests, tie-dying, character dining, water basketball and other assorted games.

I like the idea of family activites. :thumbsup2 What month are you going & how old are your kids? I'm just wondering if the same info. will apply to both of us. FYI, we'll be there the last week in July & our DS is 14. I can't wait to hear what you find out. :)

You can also enjoy the activities at the other 2 resorts. At the RPR, activities include sand castle building, ping pong, volleyball, video/arcade game room, dive-in movies and pool basketball. On different days in the Island restaurant, there is character dining, hula dancing and face painting. The Mariner's club for kids 4-14 is available in the evenings for parents to leave the kids in a supervised play area that includes crafts, toys and computers. In the Concierge lounge, there are several large screen TVs and a computer with Internet access and young teens can stay in there without parents unless they get rowdy. It also depends on your comfort level with leaving them with only the Concierge or one of the other staff in the room.

We visited HRH one afternoon to swim. It stormed and forced us inside. We had ice cream and my kids loved hanging out in the lobby on the kid sized bean bags watching a movie there. Simple, but they loved it!
