Can anyone tell me when the 2009 booking window will open? Since my vacation dates are finally under the 365 day mark I am, of course, eager to start making solid plans! I tried to book a room at the HRH for Feb 11-18, but I guess it's still too far out. Poop.

So, how much longer do I have to wait?

I believe it has to do with when the rates are released. I'm thinking we couldn't book a room for April/May 2008 until mid summer, 2007. . . something like that.

Then it took several more months before the discount rates, such as AAA, rates were released. Then, just last month, there were supersaver rates available for our dates :cool1:

For us, it went in stages. I initially booked at rack rate knowing I would change that as soon as the AAA rates were released. It was posted here immediately when they were released. I believe we have changed rates like 4 times and I still keep checking to see if they drop any further.

That's what I am asking. I was just wondering if anyone knew. Like those that have booked a trip for this coming week...when did the dates open up?

Okay, I just checked my old emails. I made my ressies for our Decemer 14, 07 trip on Feb. 14th, so at least 10 months out. I am at 360 days right now. I guess I have to be patient!

Thanks for your help.

I was just about to post the same question. I am looking at doing our first trip to US about this time next year. Finding the prices for onsite a little steep compared to the Value or Moderates that we would usually consider at WDW, but with the kids getting bigger we would probably have to upgrade there too.

I am pretty sure you're going to have to wait till late summer, early fall.

And, I know that one year, I wasn't able to get a good discount on our late Jan/early Feb stay until November (just 2 months before our stay).

Well, the prices are steep compared to values and mods at Disney, but that is because the UO hotels are deluxe's...all the way! We stayed at AKL on our last trip and, while it was nice (Queen bed w/bunks and Savannah view), our HRH room was nicer. The entire hotel is nicer (for our tastes anyway...it's all perspective and tastes, really). The pool slide at HR is way better and bigger than the one at AKL. You are gonna pay more, but you will be getting way more!! (Can ya tell I love the HRH? We've also stayed at RPR and that was quite nice too, HRH is just a better fit for us).

Thanks for the info. I am just sooooo antsy to get planning. Well, not really planning as I know exactly what we want and where we are going, lol. It just makes it more exciting and REAL when you finally make a ressie!

Also don't forget when you stay on property you get the FOTL perk! We are planning on staying onsite this time because of that. We always paid for the express pass and the money we wasted on that we could of saved by staying onsite (and had alot nicer rooms).
