HRH 06/15/04 - 06/17/04 with pics

Much to our surprise, our reservation was still there when we arrived. The first floor carpets are worn, but that is to be expected seeing how many people truck thru them. The 5th floor is worn out too. It's not that bad when you see it. The walls are ok.

We ended up on the 5th floor with our lab. Thought we would be on the first floor, but the view from up high was nice.

Great trip report robvia. My kids would have loved your dog! We stayed at the RP last week, but the HR looks wonderful too. We never made it over to swim in the HRH pool, maybe next trip. Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad to hear that you were happy with the resort. I knew I had seen dogs on other floors!!! It looks so funny seeing the dog in your pictures. She looks quite at home!

Yes, the dog was very much at home in the room.
When I took her out, we would walk down the hallway, and she would look up at me smiling. Everyone we passed in the hallway smiled and said hi. In the morning, Destiny would look out the window at the ducks in the pool. At night, she slept at the end of the bed. On the walks, she enjoyed sniffing all the flowers along the jogging path. She was very well behaved on the car ride up and back, almost like having a real human with us.

The only negative is there is a lot of walking involved, going from the kennel (located in the far corner of the parking garage), to the park, back to the kennel at lunch, and to the hotel. Much of the trip revolved around the dog, but it was worth it.

Now that we know how to do it, the next trip will probably be much easier.

Wow! Thanks for the terrific report and pictures...especially love your dog! I had been wondering about the HRH. Am already looking into making plans for our next trip even though we just got back and your report was a great source of info. I also have dogs and this especially helped me. Thanks!!
