The group entered the Three Broomsticks, loud and happy. They all sat down and talked about their orders.

Everyone said they would get Butterbeers.

“Actually…I don’t want to get hyped up on sugar,” Melody said, “Will someone order me a water or will you all refuse me again and force a Butterbeer upon me?”
“Drink the dang Butterbeer!” Ron said.
“I’ll get the drinks!” William said, going to the counter. He decided Melody had been put through enough tonight, she deserved her boring water.
It was Charlotte’s first time having a Butterbeer. She loved it! Everyone thanked William and enjoyed their beverages.

After a while of enjoying beverages and talking, it was getting late. They decided to head back. Charlotte was a bit worried, and of course Melody was as well.

“All right! Let’s go you ruffians and rule-breaking Ravenclaws!” Melody called, leading them out the door.
“We’re not the only ones breaking rules you know!” Charlotte said bravely, “You are too.”
Melody had nothing to say, so she didn’t say anything in response, “Should we split up? I mean, if one group is caught, then the only group won’t be.”
“That’s very stupid and rude Melody,” Hermione said matter-of-factly.
Melody didn’t say anything else.

“Uh, is that Snape?” Ron said, pointing to the front of the castle.
“We need to hide!” Adam hissed, heading for trees. Charlotte ran and hid behind Emilia, Ron, and Melody.
“Stay behind buildings and trees and push forward!” William said forcefully.

Melody cast a spell, conjuring a spark of light and sending it into the forest. It looked like someone was in the forest, and she hoped that Snape would follow it instead of looking for them. Snape looked up and walked towards the forest. Melody, Charlotte, Isabelle, and William made it back to the castle. Ron fell while running and delayed Emilia, Hermione, and Adam. Snape ran after them.

He caught the four and quickly walked inside the castle, where he saw the other group running around a corner. He saw that it was Melody, Charlotte, Isabelle, and William, though he didn’t call for them. They were in for punishment too.

The four who were ahead made it back to the common room. Melody collapsed, having another mini-heart attack. William acted like it was no big deal. Isabelle went right to sleep. Charlotte hovered around, but joined the caught group after Snape left, along with William and Melody.

Meanwhile, Snape was inspecting the rule-breakers, “Let’s see here. 15 points from Gryffindor, 15 points from Ravenclaw, and 15 points for Hufflepuff. Yes, I do know about the other group. You’ll be with them in detention.” The group kept their heads down, except for Emilia.”

“I am SO sorry Professor. I can assure you, I will be a very good prefect from now on,” Emilia said, fluttering her eyelashes and standing closer to him.
Snape pursed his lips, “That will do Miss Winterstale. Be sure to tell the other four that your detentions will be tomorrow at 7 sharp. Report to Professor Umbridge’s study.”
Everyone turned in shame. The other group had been notified by now. As everyone began worrying, Emilia was the only one who spoke.
“Oh! Oh! Will you be there, Mr. Professor Snape? I can do extra detention, if that makes a difference!”
Snape waved his arm, “Back to the common rooms. All of you.”

They all wandered back, the other group having rejoined them.
“I can’t breathe. I can’t do this,” Melody said, hyperventilating.
“Relax Mel,” William said, exasperated.
“We really should not have done this,” Charlotte said worrying. She hurried back to her common room, quite upset.
“I can’t relax though!” Melody said loudly.
“Stop, ok? Life is short. Relax and enjoy it while you can. You had fun, you can’t deny it. So calm down, and let’s go through this, all together,” William said, unleashing his inner guru.
Everyone nodded, in surprised agreement.
“This isn’t going to be a normal year, is it?” Melody asked as Ron and Hermione turned to go to their common room.
“Nope!” Hermione answered gleefully.
