Sorry to probably repeat a question already asked but all the WWoHP threads are so long to trawl through. I wonder if anyone could just tell me a bit about this ride please.

1) Does it go really fast and is it like a simulator such as Spiderman or more jiggy

2) Does it spin?

Thanx

OK, so potential spoilers!

Now I wouldn't compare it directly with Spiderman as it's a completely different experience. I found the ride very staggered, there are periods where it moves slowly to allow you to take in the surroundings, followed by periods when it zooms off to change locations. You're flip head over heels, and heels over head. But don't spin in circles, that being said it moves around a lot. The chairs are constantly moving throughout the entire ride.

Spoilers here too.

Don't take the heels over head comment as saying that there are loops or barrel rolls. You don't go upside down. You can say its part Spiderman (without the 3D) (flying over Hogwarts) and part animatronic (the dementors, spiders). There is no spinning. If you feel like you don't want to go on the ride, you could at least go through the queue and opt out of the ride at the end, because Universal did a great job when it comes to detail inside Hogwarts Castle.

I have to agree, to row back slightly. The seats tip backwards & forwards, but you don't go 360 degrees.

If you don't ride then I agree you should try to get inside because the queue is billed as part of the experience & they did an amazing job. If you ask a staff member is Universal they will walk you through a tour of the castle, there is a route built into the castle just for this. I saw several groups of 'tours' happening last time I was queuing for the ride.

It's a seat attached to a robot arm (think auto manufacturing robot arms). Think Sum of All Thrills at Epcot. The robot arms move on a Haunted Mansion-like track, and your seat has full motion at the end of the arm, although it does not go upside down at all.

It does go kind of face down at one point though, very surprising!
