That is a LONG ways away...
2 years after HBP...

Gah, oh well.
I'll be a junior by then.
Glad everyone likes the name change. :)

ETA: Page 397 in GOF.
Plan on almost or actually finishing it today.

o.o
Never mind.
I'll be OUT of school when that comes out.
Still seems far away.

Allie, that fan video was amazing.
I'm usually not into them, but the song went perfectly with it.
I never really pictured P!ATD working for HP..

Deathly Hallows movie Part I comes out on November 11, 2010

Dude.
I will be graduated from high school by that time.
I'll be getting prepared to go to college!
Lord.
That's to long to wait.

But Mom told me that she is going to take me to Florida for my graduation celebration.
Disney and the new Harry Potter park...
It will be grand.
:]

I can't count, sorry.

I've been dying for the new mugglecast this week.
Maybe because the news is so slow.
Can't wait till HBP...

ETA: I also found a Livejournal with some awesome chapter art icons.
I think I'll make a new signature every day for all the chapters and add a quote.(I only found to chapter 12 I think so I'll have to find some more.)
Only semi spoiling of course.
So The Dark Lord Ascending today.

FINALLY!

Mugglecast!
Wooh.

I really hope they do one more 12 hour live show.
The one a couple months ago was the best.

:p

Lol.
Love it Allie.

I wish I was talented like Livejournal people. -_-

I agree.
I got the pictures in my siggy from there.
The icon makers on there are sooooooo talented.
I wish I had half their skill.

I know!

Big day today.
Taken from mugglenet:

"10 Years Since the Downfall of Lord Voldemort
As revealed in ITV's JK Rowling Documentary which aired back in December, May 2nd, 1998 was the day Harry finally defeated Lord Voldemort within Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

A couple of visitors have asked us to post this wonderful anniversary. And why not? The Battle of Hogwarts within Deathly Hallows was one of the coolest scenes ever created by Jo. It held what we've been waiting to witness since closing Sorcerer's Stone. And who can forget Molly Weasley's infamous line to Bellatrix Lestrange: "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU *****!"?

So here's to Harry and his triumphant win against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Leave your thanks to Harry and Jo in the comments, and ask yourself: Do Wizards have a name for this anniversary?"

Yay for the downfall of Voldemort.
And Mrs. Weasley's best line ever.

It's been a couple weeks since we've updated you on the JK Rowling VS RDR court trial. The trial itself occurred from April 14th - 16th, and at this point we are just waiting for the judge's final decision on the copyright infringement claims by JKR/WB.

The Chicago Tribune recently spoke to RDR owner Roger Rapoport, who sheds some new light on their decision to turn the HP Lexicon into a book:

The publisher did not know of Vander Ark's Lexicon Web site until he saw a newspaper profile of the Webmaster last July. A month later, Vander Ark agreed to put together a print version with the help of three of the site's other editors. The plan was to print 10,000 copies.

"I couldn't understand why this book hadn't been published yet," he said. After all, Rowling herself had endorsed the Web site in 2004, giving it an award as "a great site" which, while writing, she occasionally used to check facts from her earlier books. Little did Rapoport envision that, at the trial, Rowling would dismiss the manuscript of the printed Lexicon as "sloppy."

Thanks to MuggleNet for the story.

OK! First off, I personally think this guy is an idiot for thinking he could even get away with something like this.
Second, "I couldn't understand why this book hadn't been published yet." Gee I wonder, maybe because JKR has a COPYRIGHT on it?????
Finally, there is a line between having a fansite and making it an awesome fansite; versus using your fansite and knowledge to publish a book that defies the copyright that is on the first page of the book!

I know.
The whole thing is ridiculous.
I love how Vander Ark stated he hopes he can still be a great fan. Though I'm sure alot of fans will not accept him after this.
If he was such a fan he wouldn't be doing this to Jo.
"I couldn't understand why this book hadn't been published yet." Well, it IS Jo's work. She'll publishe it as she pleases, writes it when she pleases and does what she wants.
This is not their information and story, it's JKR's and she has the right to her own story SHE created.
Honestly, if I was going to do anything like this, I wouldn't be using Jo's work. I wouldn't be taking on something such as big as Harry Potter, especially because of the enormous fans that are backing her up.
I'm also a bit annoyed how they were planning to sell the book for profit when Jo was specifically writing it to raise money for charity or so I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Also I was listening to mugglecast when they were talking about stricter rules on fanfiction. How some authors forbid it.
I hope this doesn't change JKR's mind about it, just because this happened. There are great fanfiction and it'd be a shame if she forbid it just because this happened.

There's a fine line between copyrighting and fanfiction.
He crossed that line.
