Well, I woke up to -14 degrees and a -33 windchill. Okay, I am located on the Arctic Ocean, but it is fun to shock everyone. All is fine. Dogs are walked, coffee made and breakfast is next. Only 5 hours of sunlight left until Jan. Yes, the sun drops below the horizon about Nov. 11 and clears the horizon again about Jan. 15th. Used to it. Just the place that I live. Well, watch out for vampires! I've always wanted to visit up there. I used to consider working up there, but I think the lack of trees would be hard for me (harder than the light/dark thing).

I need to watch that movie. Haven't yet. Yep, no trees. About 200 miles south you get bushes. Always feels good to see them again.

WOW. Have you always lived there, and if not, why did you move there and how did you adjust?

We are having beautiful weather here in Bangor, ME. It's been in the mid-to-upper 50's during the day and will continue that way through the week. It's been down below freezing at night, though, so we have had to start running the furnace. Still, I am psyched about the weather; usually by this time, we have snow, real snow that's here to stay until April. I am GOOD with this fall!

Burr!! I live in SE Michigan and we had great weather today, it got up to 64 and was sunny.

Right now we are 74 and cloudy... tomorrow our high will be 83 with partial clouds/sun that is why they call my City "Paradise" from the fall to the spring, we have awesome weather.. usually

I wasn't out too much today but I think it got close to 60 in the afternoon? Close anyway.
It was sunny. I am kind of looking forward to snow this year. But WOW Op... I don't know if I could live with that kind of cold and the dark!!

We are on our 2nd year here. We actually did 2 years , 20 years ago then moved to Minnesota. You just adjust. We have good housing and great outdoor gear. The darkness is not as bad as the constant light in the summer. We moved due to a situation with my husband's business. We have a home in MN that we visit at Christmas and in the summer. Don't know how long we will be here. Just taking it year by year. It is an interesting place. We do all the same things everyone does . We shop on line, watch movies, take walks, play sports, Just most of it is inside.

I couldn't take that cold. Brrr. I grew up in Ohio, but my husband spoiled me with a few winters in San Diego, then Okinawa. Never saw a snowflake! Now I feel freezing because here in NC it's been getting down to the 40's at night and 60's during the day.

Northern Georgia Reporting, weather been great for the last week in the low 70's and high 60's during the day.... then in the high 30's and 40's at night, but for a Florida girl like me that's cold, I have ice water in my vein's my blood is so thin from living in Fl. So this is a complete change for us. But I love.. love... love the seasonal change, the color are so beautiful. Now I understand why people own jackets and sweaters ,
