How's Roaring Forks for breakfast?

We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge in December and we will probably be grabbing something from Roaring Forks most mornings for breakfast. Can anybody tell me what kind of stuff they have and what is good? Just looking for details. For instance, I know they probably have donuts and muffins - but what kind? What hot items are good? What are the beverage choices, etc? We stayed at the WL last year, but we just ate breakfast in our room most days because we had packed cereal bars, poptarts, etc. We aren't planning to do that this year, so I was just wondering what our quick breakfast options are. Thanks!

Roaring Forks is typical "food court" type food. It should be fine for your needs.

May I make a suggestion though. I stayed at WL in July. When I went to check in, I inquired about upgrading to Concierge. They offered it to me for an additional $45/nite. Depending upon the size of your party, it might behoove you to inquire about this option. What's really nice is, the food is right on the same floor as your room. No waiting in line. Just help yourself.

Thanks for the suggestion, but we are staying for 10 nights and even if we did get the $45 offer, there is no way we could afford to spend an extra $450 on concierge when we could grab a quick breakfast at Roaring Forks for $10. There are only two of us.

I wasn't impressed with Roaring Forks for breakfast.

It was too crowded - too busy with bad crowd management. I've had better donuts from a gas station. Although I find most of Disney's restaurant prices to be reasonable (considering), I kind of choke over paying a dollar for a bad donut. If I had to eat their 10 days in a row, I'd go crazy.

Bring a box of pop tarts and a box of cereal bars. And plan a couple of sit down breakfasts to round out.

(Roaring Forks for dinner was reasonable food court food - not horrible, not horribly over priced, and not nearly as crowded).

Thanks for the information. We generally don't do sit-down breakfasts because we don't like to get up any earlier than we have to! ;) Plus, we jut aren't big breakfast people. I guess we will bring some stuff from home, just in case the Roaring Forks situation is too bad. All we will probably want is a muffin or danish something like that - just something we can grab and eat while we are waiting for the bus.

The only thing that made Roaring Forks tolerable for breakfast was eating several hours before park opening. At peak time, it was taking us 20 minutes to get through the line and get our food. No such thing as grab and eat while waiting for the bus.

If you are eating at Roaring Forks because it will be quick, but would be just as happy with a pop tart - just pack them.

We were there 6 nites last year and going back for 3 next month.

Roaring Forks was fine if you get there early. I'd get dressed quickly and get down by 7. Would grab cereal, rolls, refill refillable mugs w/ coffee, for myself, daugher and mother. Sometimes full hot breakfast. There was little wait at that time but would get too busy later on.

The food was fine. Great cheese danish.

Also did Whispering Canyon one day for breakfast and that was good. Wasn't all that pricey.
