I'm thinking of Kona Cafe for our group of 4 adults. The selection on the menu and prices seems good. How's the food and atmosphere? Also, what's the best dessert. Thanks.

My husband and I ate there esp. because the desserts sounded so good. We both got the macadamia crusted Mahi which I thought would have a "crust", but really just had a faint dusting, maybe of macadamia. Very average. We usually NEVER order the same thing, but the waitress really pushed this and we didn't stick to our guns. For dessert I had the kiluaua torte and it was too chocolate - I couldn't finish. You must be a chocoholic of the highest order to finish this. Be sure to pay extra for the ice cream to offest that chocolate. My husband had the KoKo puffs and didn't finish those either. Most people like Kona OK, but we wouldn't go back. It wasn't horrible, but there are so many better restaurants (Artist Pointe comes to mind!)

Hubby & I usually go to the Kona Cafe for breakfast. We really enjoy it there. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good breakfast food. The prices are reasonable.

Last year, we went for a late dinner. I didn't care for it as much as breakfast. They didn't have anything rather small & simple. Sometimes that's all I'm in the mood for. I ended up getting some sort of salad --- no dessert.

We'll just stick to breakfast.

Have fun!!

I'm a chocoholic and I love the Kilahua Tort!

I've had a couple of good meals there. Here are some more PICTURES.

We always enjoy Kona. There is a salad that has strips of beef that is yummy. The burgers are also really good. My fav dessert is the Kid's cone. Lisa

We LOVE Kona for the wonderful food and a nice laid-back atmosphere. Our favorite appetizer is the crab cakes. I usually get the Beef Teriyaki (which I absolutely love) and DH usually gets the shrimp. I am pretty loyal to the Kilauea Torte for dessert, which is my idea of heaven. DH loves the Ko Ko Puffs best. Kona is definately one of our very favorite places to eat at WDW.

We ate at Kona in April and it was wonderful! We had lunch, which was awesome...I had the Kona Wrap, so yummy!! Anyway, we all split a KoKo Puffs for dessert...All I can say is Yum Yum Yum!!!

Soooooooo good! :):)

Get the sticky wings, they are GREAT! Next time I'll get them as my meal and I'm not a big "Wing" person but all 4 of us loved them. My children got the kids cone to split, it was great and had their eyes popping! We have a cute picture of them with it. We really liked the Kona cafe and it is MUCH more relaxing and slower paced than many Disney restaurants.
