Dec 11 - I would look for something later. We usually book 8:40-9 pm Ohana to view Hallowishes. Earlier seating is not going to guarantee you a table by the window.

Dec 12 - 2.5 hrs between YS/Illuminations would be cutting it too close for me. YS is one of favs, but we've noticed that they usually seat us later than our ADR time.

Dec 13 - I prefer the SC 11:45 w/ BOG 5 pm. If you dine at BOG 1:45 pm, that puts you eating at around 2-2:30 pm. Then 3 hrs later you're eating again at SC 5:30 pm. That wouldn't be enough time for my lunch to settle.

Dec 14 - the dinner time looks great; perhaps book an earlier lunch at 11:30 am?

Dec 15 - V&A is a 3-4 hr dining experience (for us, 4 :)), so if you want to watch Hallowishes, definitely choose the 5:30 pm seating.

Thanks for your input! Even at 180 days we wouldn't get the "best times" for the beginning of our trip (it's a very short trip for our Honeymoon before we head to Paris)!! I just booked a 9:35pm for California Grill as well (this would be too late I'm assuming)

I changed YS to 6:30pm do you think this would be better?

Yeah me too! I just grabbed the BOG lunch (because we'd rather eat there for lunch than not at all) and a SC dinner (at that time because we don't wanna waste any party time) I'm hoping I can cancel them when I get a BOG for 5pm.

I only grabbed that early dinner because park closes at 5pm and thats the LATEST we could get. I prefer dinner at Tiffins and Lunch at YY but since the park is only open until 5pm technically I just grabbed the latest "dinner" we could. We would consider 4:40 a late LUNCH personally.....

It's just the two of us, where is V&A located in relation to a "viewing spot" for Wishes (I know you can't see it from V&A)

So if we get there at 7:30 we can't request a window table? I assume if we do request a window table it'll be extra wait time for our table and place us closer to 8pm when sitting which would then require a 2 hour meal (This an unreasonable amount of time for dinner? This is a Signature I thought?)

I would do the early time at V&A. It a pretty long meal and I'd hate to be getting sleepily at the end.

Other than that it looks wonderful! I'm tempted to ask if I can come!

...I sure do like your honeymoon style! Perhaps an idea for our 25th? :scratchin

CG - Hallowishes starts at 9:30 pm, so, yes, too late. I'd keep the 7:25 and keep looking for 8:30-9 pm.

YS- 6:30 pm is definitely better. I'd let the server know you are wanting to be out in time for Illuminations.

Tiffins - 4:40 pm is dinner time for us, lol. Hopefully when the updated hours are released, you can grab a later time. Just keep an eye out for the ADRS, as well!

V&A - I believe the viewing area at the GF is near the marina. You can also take the monorail over to the Poly and watch from the beach.

Looks pretty good!!

We'll see you at the Cali Grill we have a 7:40pm ADR on Dec. 11th.

I think that your Cali Grill time is fine. If you wait for a window seat then that puts you eating later. Also, we had a 7:30 ish reservation in Setember to time with sunset. We didn't know if we would make it to fireworks but we did. We did not have a window table but a booth where we could see outside fine. We got a glass of champagne at the end of the dinner and went outside to watch the fireworks. They held our table for us. Without asking. We were not rushed. It worked out great.

Hallowishes was actually at 10pm

What do you mean you went outside to watch the Fireworks? I'm not familiar with Cali Grill

There is a big observation deck attached to the restaurant. You can watch from your table or your can go in the deck area. Drink in hand. You can also finish your dinner and come back and re-visit the restaurant for fireworks, if your reservation was say at 5pm and fireworks were at 10pm. Or you could wait at the bar and enjoy a drink if your dinner ended early. Lots of options. You don't have to physically be seated at your table to enjoy the view. I will try and find a picture!

OMG that's great to know! and I just realized it's not Hallowishes (I'm mixing trips up) its Holiday Wishes and that's at 9:30! I think that timing should be good then no? 2 hours in a signature restaurant doesn't seem unreasonable. We always order Appetizers and Entrees (desserts only if something really sounds delicious)

Two hours fo dinne is right for us. You cannot wait for a table by the window, you must take the one offered or lose your ADR. The severs ae adept at timing teh meal so you have a break at an appropriate time to view the show from the deck.

V&A is located in the Grand main building. If you want to see Wishes, you need to make your way out and go to the Marina to watch. THis is just my opinion, but you will have already seen Wishes, in some form so I would not rush this meal. You cannot go onto tNarcoosseess veranda any longer to see WIshes unless you are dining there, so I would not worry about timeing this meal for fireworks.
