Howard Johnson's Maingate East ????'s

Well, we are down to single digits!!! We will be staying at Howard Johnson's Maingate east when we go next week. We really haven't stayed offsite for more than 1 night at a time, so I am a bit nervous. Since we aren't going to be at the parks much this trip (business) we didn't see spending the extra to stay onsite. We booked through Dreams Unlimited, and have thoroughly enjoyed taking advantage of online PS!

Has anyone stayed at this HoJo? How did you like it? We will really only be there to sleep and shower, as we have a lot to do in a little bit of time.

Is there a restaurant nearby where we can grab a bite to eat? What time do they open?

I appreciate any information you can give me!

Although I'm jealous of your single digits, I'll try and help anyway

DW and I have used HJME several times and always found it adaquet for your needs. It's an older hotel, but it's clean, the pools are not fancy, but fine, the location is great for the parks, and there are several restaurants and convenience stores right there in front of the Hotel. We always eat at the Waffle House right in front.
