howard johnson plaza hotel and suites??

Has anone stayed there? I found a good rate for a suite on Hotelkingdom, but can't find anything on the boards about them. It would only be for 1-3 nights.

I was wondering if this is the same hotel that I am staying at?? Could you tell me if this is the one on south Kirkman, it is closer to universal. I post on this hotel and no one replied abput it either.

My boyfriend and I are staying there in sept for 11 nights. It was him who also came across it on the internet but after researching it, we really liked the sound of it!
The reviews we found were positive, you get free breakfast, theres a free shuttle to some of the them parks and its in a great location, just a few minutes off international drive so all the shops and restaurants are near- Thats some of the reasons why we chose it!

My girlfriend and I will be staying there this september...
we chose it bcos the only elusive reviews had labeled it a 'hidden gem' and it seemed really nice! will tell u what it's like when we get back, but for now u can see what Ive found out on www.memory.fr.fm - click on the spider, then on 'password' (believe it or not!) and type in florida/details

what kind of rate did you get?
Hotel Kingdom had a pretty good one.

I recokon ud be looking about $40 - $50 per room per night inc. breakfast...

U can get a double room (2 double beds, interior corridors, bathroom) or a King room at sam rate (massive bed, interior corridors, recliner and a 'jacuzzi jet tub')!

tazz and me got just under $40 per room per night

Try www.onlineflorida.co.uk, they do £30 ($45) per room and £38 per suite (Im not even going to try doing maths!)

that will give you a micro and fridge, ect- if you want those things..

Only other things I can suggest are these...

try octopuss travel bcos they can be ridiculously cheap, and look at www.tripadviser.com - I cant stress that enough! tazz and I were going to go to Sheraton 4 Points... untill we found out that it was cheap for a reason (next to a manmade mosquito swamp, awful rooms, decrepit, etc, etc...).
Reviews for HoJo are 4/5 for family of 6 in suite and 5/5 for a regular room so all good!
Check ur other hotel - if it's better, go for it!
Also remember:
HoJo is on a cul-de-sac on IntDrive - quiet but close to everything. No shuttle to Disney - that's a pain! But there is a shuttle (Lynx) that goes to Disney Transport Ctr. for $1 one way from an iRide stop, so it's ok I guess!
Check and double check tripadviser and www.travelocity.com - they are invaluable!
