How would this work?

Just thought of something. If we go in June, it'll just be for the water parks and one day at MK. If we do the DDP, will we still be able to dine at other parks? I'm thinking no but wanted to make sure.

You could, but you would need to buy admission to the other park. You could do that by adding the Park Hopper option to your ticket.

So a PH would give us access to any park? We were planning on buying one base ticket with the water and more option. That would give us one day at MK and one day at each of the water parks.

How would the PH option work? Would we be able to park hop on all of the days or just on the base ticket day, meaning on day?

I also think you'd need the PH option -you can go to any park with it.I think it's now $45 extra per ticket.

I believe the PH option only works with the base ticket, not tickets to the water parks. You might want to check on the Disney site, where you can price tickets. Buying a MYW ticket with park hopper and water parks may end up working better for you, depending on how often you want to go into the parks to eat...

OP, I think you are getting some confusing answers. If you want to buy a one day MYW ticket and add some water park options, you will still only be able to get into a park (MK in your case) on one day. There's no reason to add the park hopper option for a one day ticket - you would spend a lot of money for something you probably wouldn't use, since you plan to spend a full day at MK, right? Adding the park hopper option doesn't let you go into other parks on another day UNLESS you also have bought admission tickets for that day as well.

You'll be able to use up those dining credits at the resort restaurants, though, and that would be fun!!

But no going into a park for a meal without a ticket for that park, sorry.

If you only want to go to MK, don't buy the Parkhopper. You just need the one day one park ticket. Just be sure to book your meal at MK the day you plan to be there. I'd suggest trying for Crystal Palace first(B,L or D). It is a character meal and a really nice buffet so your family should have a great time. Paying that $45 fee is valuable on multiday tickets, but since you only want one day one park that's $180 you should hold onto.

If you stick with the character theme at a resort restaurant the other days some really good options are:

Chef Mickey's (Dinner after time in the waterpark bfast another day).
1900 Park fare (Cindy, step mother and sisters for dinner)
Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for a really unique meal

I don't suggest 'Ohana or Beach Club because those are bfast only and you'll be best served hitting the water park early or getting into MK early since you just have one day there. The waterparks have morning extra magic hours, so check the schedule to see when you can get in earlier. They can fill up an be closed to new guests later on some days. The water parks can also have evening EMHs.

Couple of other things about your tickets. Whichever ticket you use on a given day (Park or Waterpark) you can come and go all day/night at that park w/o a parkhopper.

Perhaps you already know if a One Day Base Ticket with WP&MF option gives you two WP entries. I know some changes were made to those combo tickets, but I'm not sure if the single base ticket combo gives one or two "& More" entries.
