How will WOC effect F! viewings

I love Fantasmic. I have seen it in both parks. I think DLs version rocks but hate the "seating" for it. I like the seating at DHS much better but the show isn't as good.

After being kicked, poked, proded, and generally annoyed while waiting I have avoided F! at DL. But.... with WOC opening I am hoping F! won't be as bad as it can be.

Is this a bad assumption?

Naturally I want to see WOC but I am more than willing to wait until all the kinks are worked out.

F! won't be as bad as last summer, but it should still be crowded in the summer. If you are not the type of person who likes to wait, you should go for the 2nd show.

I've said this before but it's worth mentioning again. On the topic of people migrating from seeing F! to WoC making F! less crowded it's unlikely. WoC is built to bring more people, not bring people from DL to DCA.

You are right that there are rude people to watch F!, I have experienced it and I did not like it, but there will be people like that at F! And WoC no matter what happens.

I've heard people were rude (I assumed pushing and shoving), but all I have to say is...wow!

Spit on?? wow.. I would try the fantasmic! Dessert box thing. I really love doing that..having a chair and being relatively isolated after a long crowded day is worth the cost IMO.

I'm more and more liking the idea of the F! Dessert Pkg. I have major OCD and would probably fly off my handle if someone spit on me

Sad truth... Not only during F!, but the parades and fireworks as well.

You arrive there relatively early, place yourself and your kids in a spot, and then right at the last minute, you get pushed forward, sideways, and finally backwards. With no shame, people will even use their kids to push their way up to the front, squeezing them in and shoveling aside others that were there first. They will put their kids on their shoulders, blocking everyone's view behind with no consideration whatsoever. It is pitiful sometimes.

In the end, if you don't want to spoil your mood and literally argue with anyone, you have no choice other than try to keep your cool for the sake of peace. It is sad and frustrating to see how people just totally step over other people like that. I wonder what has happened to good manners, politeness and consideration to others?

Yes, I did actually get spit on once. The gentleman behind me decided he no longer wanted his gum so he he spat it out. The gum along with saliva landed right on my back.

As much as I wanted to lose my top I was alone with my four year old dd (at that time) and did not want to casue to much of a scene. The man in question saw nothing wrong with what he did and did not feel an apology was necessary.

I agree. Even without WOC, Fantasmic will be less busy this summer because the big refurb happened last year and drew in huge crowds. I do think WOC will draw some of the pressure off DL and Fantasmic in the evenings. Also, do second F! if you can.

That is totally gross, but for some reason in my mind I was thinking there was a fight over seats & someone spit right in your face. I have no idea why I pictured that...been watching too many movies maybe?

Did you decide to purchase the F! dessert package anyway? I remember you started a thread about it a month or so ago. That would be great if F! is less crazy, but I think I will just splurge for the DP anyway because I don't want to take a chance fighting the crowds with a 2 yo in a stroller!

I believe if you prepaid for F! and they change the time on you/cancel that they'll allow you to either reschedule for another day or refund...is that still the case?
