how/where do the kids get to pull the sword out of the stone?

It's right in front of Cinderella's Carousel on the castle side.A CM or Merlin, not sure which, picks a child from the crowd to do it. :wizard:

"Sword in the Stone
Located in front of Cinderella's Golden Carrousel. Who will remove Excalibur from the stone? It could be you!
Tuesday-Thursday at 11:15am, 12:15, 1:15, 2:15, 4:00 & 5:00pm. Stone and stage located in front of the Carrousel. Arrive 5 minutes before the show. "

Its a short fun show and we try and make it at least once during every trip. Merlin will pick one adult and one child to participate. In our experience he usually picks a girl or boy who seems to be quietly enjoying the show rather than the "pick me, pick me kids"!

thanks a bunch - yet another must do to add to my growing list! Sounds really great!! I appreciate your answers!

When we were there in 2000, my DS was chosen. Merlin was the one who chose then. The one chose will receive a medallion and a "scroll" stating he or she was temporary ruler of the realm......My ds who is now 9 still talks about it:)

This is true! On one of our trips he picked a girl that had down's syndrome. She was so excited! It truly brought tears to our eyes to see the expression on her face when she pulled the sword out and wore the crown and cape and was donned ruler of the MK! We'll never forget Merlin's kindness! :wizard:
