For those of you who just returned, how bad were the crowds during Jersey week (November 5-10?)

TIA

Monday and Tuesday were ok, but seemed to get more crowded toward the end of the week. Lots of locals Friday out for Veterans day. It was still lots of fun!!!!

It was more crowded than I anticipated. A little bit more than in past years. The Jersey week did get incorporated into Soap Opera week. I was really suprised to see so many people there for that! Soaps? :confused3

Great weather though. Only rained on one day, sunny the rest. A little cool at night, but nothing like it was back home! The kids swam until the pools closed, the wife and I sat at by the pool drinking coffee and Bailey's. All was well! :thumbsup2

My trip spanned Wen of "Jersey Week" through Wen of this week (11/15). This was our fourth trip during the same time frame, each trip five years apart.

The crowds were worse than anything I had previously encountered. FastPass machines consistently ran our around lunch, lines in standby were hour wait for the popular rides. Standing room only on almost every trip to anywhere on the bus.

And while I'm sure there were plenty of people from NJ who were nice, polite, and well-mannered, it seemed that everyone we saw who WAS nasty, ill-tempered, or foul-mouthed had the distinctive NJ accent.

Yeah, I won't make THAT mistake again.

It will almost always be light crowds in the early part of the week. Most schools are only closed Thursday and Friday of that week. There are a small number of districts that take off the whole week.

Sorry To Hear That, I'm From Jersey And I Rescheduled My Trip To Jan. When I Realized That I Would Be There For Jersey Week. Too Crowed And Those North Jersey People Can Be A Handful!!!!! Of Course, Us Southern Jersey People Are Much Nicer!!!! And No Accent!!!

You mean those NorthEAST New Jersey people, right? Us NORTHWEST New Jersey people are actually quite nice. Some of us are even known to say please, thank you and excuse me - well, at least sometimes! :teeth:

(BTW, no offense taken - NJ is home to some of the rudest people....)

What accent? Especially since it is supposed to be distinctive. I lived in New Jersey for 20 years without noticing anything unique about the way people spoke. There are a few areas that have emigrants from Brooklyn or the Bronx who kept that speech pattern but otherwise there is nothing distinctly Joisey.

It was busy but not unmanageable. We were at BWV for the first part of the week and definitely noticed NJ arriving Monday and Tuesday. The rest of the week was at OKW and was definitely quieter for us.

We are in Florida each year for this week and it is definitely getting busier each year.
