How well do the hand blenders work?

We'll be staying at the BCV and using the pool quite a bit. We don't drink alcohol but do love a fruity, cold drink. I'm thinking if you get the ice from the ice machine, buy a plastic bottle of drink mix and bring one of those blenders you just put down in a glass to blend it wouldn't be too much trouble and would save a lot of money! I just want to make sure these things really work first!

Don't bring a blender, there is one in the unit and if it happens not to be there, housekeeping will bring you one, just have to ask. :)

I've read where there is one in the one or two bedroom units but we're only staying in a studio. Will they let us use one?

They sure will. Just call housekeeping and ask.

In answer your question about the immersion blenders:Wwe bought one for MIL a few years ago as a Christmas gift (rotten us ;) , but there's not much she needs and can buy what she wants). It turns out that she uses it most often. She uses it in place of her chopper, food processor, mixer or blender. She told me on more than one occasion how happy she is with it and is glad we gave it to her. :sunny:
