Hi all, we just got back from a fabulous trip but it was hot hot hot. Here are some of the things we did to stay cool(er) We always go in August and wilted in the heat so this time I was determined to be better prepared. We woke up early every day and hit the parks before it got unbearably hot. I purchased a Frogg Togg Chilly pad and cut it into 3 strips. The trick with these is soak them but do not wring all the water out. It took a few times of wetting them to figure it out. I bought small personal fans at Wal Mart. They clipped onto my bag and didn't weigh it down that much. These were wonderful to have while waiting in line or at an outdoor show.
Blisters have a been a big problem for me in the past until I started using Dr. Scholls Blister Defense. This stuff is fabulous. I rubbed it all over my feet and toes. I didn't get one single blister
.
We had a great time and due to my work and kids school and sports schedules we will be there next August. I would love to go in the winter but it won't happen for a while
