It took me a month, but I'm finally getting started. :cool1:
December 13-17, my little group took a short pre-Christmas trip to WDW for an escape from the winter weather. We had a great time, and I'll be posting some pics and trip memories very soon!

Stayed tuned to find out:
Who went on this trip?
What cool things did we do?
Did we ever find Grandpa?

These and other exciting tidbits will be revealed--keep reading! popcorn::

did you really lose grandpa, or did he lose you? ;)

secondly.....well I gues I only have one question.

I'm in..

Just noticed this link in your signature! I can't wait to read all about it, especially since we are going close to that time this year!
Did Yoda love the characters or find them scary?

Hi Tracy! December was such a great time to go! You will love it!
(You'll have to keep reading to see what :yoda: thought of the characters ;) )

Hi Bev!

:cool1: :cool1: You're started!!!!!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

You've really got to keep a close eye on these Grandpa's nowadays, otherwise they get into everything! ;)

Hi Di! How are things! I have to finish reading your trippie! Life got busy somewhere around the Biergarten--can't wait for the exciting conclusion. Those grandpas are pretty sneaky! ;)

Speaking from a Grandpa's point of view, he probably wasn't lost, he was hiding!

So true. ::yes:: Have you gone with your grandkids to WDW?

That's a big YES!!!!! I've taken two of them, DGD13 & DGS11, to the World five times and will probably be going again this year. My other DGD10 hasn't been able to go when I can but hopefully she will be with us someday soon.

What a good grandpa you are! I think multi-generational trips are lots of fun and create many great memories. Do you have any tips for activities the whole family can enjoy? I'm still working on that one!

I think the best tip is not to try to do too much at once. You miss a lot if you find yourself running between rides. Stop for ice cream, take a break & enjoy the Resort pool. The Charactor Dinners, Lunches or Breakfasts are great for kids of all ages. I'm a 69 yr. old kid at the moment! The Dinner Shows are always fun.

The saying "getting there is half the fun" is true.

I read on one TR that a little girl's most enjoyable moment was the bus ride to the MK.

I'll be watching for your updates.

Let's Start at the Very Beginning . . .
(A little about us, in case you want to know!)

Before I start in on the trip, here's a little background on me and my family.
ME: I'm 34, and work part-time for the state government. I had been to DL a few times as a kid, but I had never been to WDW until DH and I got married 4.5 years ago and went for our honeymoon. We've been four times since we've been married. I love it, love it, love it, and can't wait to go back.

DH: Grew up with Disney and went on several trips both to Disney Land and World with his family. He loves the parks and loves Walt. He's pretty cool.

:yoda: (AKA "The Bean"): He's our 9-month-old little pal. This was his first trip to WDW, and we loved being able to take him with us and show him all of the sights. He is very mobile, even though he can't walk yet, and loves to play and explore.

First, DH and I were going to go to DL, then we decided on WDW, and then we decided to invite DH's grandparents, or :yoda:'s great-grandparents. They are great people--very kind, very selfless, and they adore their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

And the best part? :confused3
They would be celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary during the trip, so we had a few exciting events planned.

The night before the trip, Grandma and Grandpa came to our house and stayed overnight. All week long, the weather reports had warned of a big storm that was supposed to hit Saturday morning. Guess when our flight was scheduled to leave? Saturday at 10 a.m.

So, we went to sleep, hoping that we could get in the air before the storm hit.

Did we make it?
Keep reading to find out! :hyper:
(Pictures are coming, as soon as I get the energy to add them!)

I agree with all of the above! There's so much to see and do at WDW, that if you're running around like a crazy person, you miss all of the little things that make it a special place--I have to remind myself of that sometimes!

I would love to do a dinner show--haven't done that yet.

I didn't know you'd started this, you should have pimped it on your pre TR :rotfl:

Anyway can't wait to hear what happens and will I get to see what you look like????

:welcome: Jo!
I think I have a picture or two or me I can post--I was mostly the camera person.

I hope my TR is not a let-down compared to your fabulous adventure! Thanks for reading!
