I'm very excited about trying the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit next year, but have to admit the ride up freaks me out a little lol, Still looking forward to trying it though. I know one person in our party i'm pretty sure will not be trying it, So my question is, How was the ride up for everyone? I'm honestly a bit nervous about it, but also excited never being on a ride that brings you up like that. So did you enjoy the ride up or could you do without it? lol

I pretty much hate it. I've ridden it twice and am sure that number would be higher if it weren't for that lift hill. And I like thrill coasters in general.

My son and I love it, but we are ride junkies. :thumbsup2

Doesn't bother me at all. It is pretty fast and you really don't get a sense of how high you are because you are just looking straight up into the sky.

My DW was terrified at first but afterwords loved it and I am not too big on heights but it was fine for me and like damo said its over pretty quick

I was terrified of going up the climb and stood for ages watching it before I would go on it at all.

I counted 12-13 seconds from bottom to top. By the time you choose your music, which does take your mind off the climb, you`re nearly there. It`s a really good drop too and good views albeit quick views :lmao:

I loved it.....soon as I had done it once that was me. Hooked!!!!

Hope you enjoy it :thumbsup2

I hate heights and it didn't bother me very much. Your really can only see straight up. I felt like the seat was actually tipped backwards because of the straight up travel (!) but the harness holds you so firmly you can't move at all, I felt really safe. Besides, I had chosen I will survive for the song and the music was playing "first I was afraid I was terrified" and it was so appropriate I had to laugh. Can't be too afraid after that.

I've been on this ride a number of times but I don't think I'll ever get used to the left hill. I LOVE coasters, have no fear of Hulk, Dragon Challenge, or even Sheikra at Busch Gardens. But the way the seat are it feels like you're tilting back and there's no over-the-shoulder harness... so it kind of feels like you're simply being held in by the bulky lap bar. Not my favorite feeling, but it's over quickly and the rest of the coaster is great :)

I agree with every single word. :thumbsup2

I also have to agree with you on the feeling of the bulky lap bar, I'm also not a fan of the lift hill either,I will ride it a couple of times every time I go but those two things just make this not be a favorite coaster.A lot of the rest of the ride I actually do like, like the drop and the loop but just not liking the restraint system drops this coaster down in my ranks pretty good.I also agree about Sheikra, that ride might seem scarier with the 90 degree drop, but you just feel so safe in those big seats you don't even think about it like I do on HRRR.

I agree with what's been said before. You do kind of feel like you're tilting backwards and I personally feel like I could slide out (I know it's not going to happen), so what I do is hook my legs around the bottom of the seat and that makes me certain that I won't fall out. :)

I wish they had some other way of starting the ride. The start was terrifying to me.

I just don't understand how the restraint holds you, and really didn't understand how it held in my 7 year old. I mean, I know it did, but my far-too-vivid-imagination thinks bad things...

Only a 20 min wait time 2 weeks ago....My family of 4 loved the ride and we actually got to ride it 3 times in a row, 2 of those were front row!!! My DH was wearing his Houston Texans shirt, my DS-24 and DD-20 wore their Camp Quality Texas shirts. After our first ride,we had just gotten out of our seats and one of the operators says Hey Texas... want to ride again? We all looked at each other and said sure! He said go up these stairs, walk around to come down the other stairs and stand right at the beginning of the ride! We couldn't believe it! My kids were front row this time. After the ride, just getting out of our seats again, this same sweet guy says....Texans want to ride again?? I said are YOU serious...he said, yea..do what you just did and come ride again! So we did and DH and I rode front row!! So much FUN!!! We loved it!! When we got off this time he said y'all have a great day and I gave him a hug and he yelled with a big smile on his face......I'm getting a hug! I couldn't resist, so NICE of him! Rest of family did shake his hand and thank him! Then I asked him where he was from, thinking he WAS from Texas and he said he was from Ohio...lol but he loves Texas people!! We all had huge smiles and we couldn't thank him enough! Great memory!!

I went solo as my daughter chickened out. As we were heading up the hill my ride partner looks over at me and says "what the heck have I gotten myself into?" We both laughed after that.

It was a nail-biting climb but I am a ride junkie so it not so awful. The Phoenix at Bush Gardens has a similar climb and that one seems to take you to the sky!

Don't forget, don't need to use the 30 songs supplied. There is a back door in the music list that gives at alot more selection from Free Bird, BlueManGroup and Kermit doing Rainbow Connect. Google Secret song list
for the ride.
