Hi, I'm trying to find out how crowded it was during this past April (mid April)? I know there can possibly be some Spring Breakers, although that seems a little late to me??? How about hours, anybody remember what the hours were that time frame? I'm trying to come up with a time frame for our next trip, and one possibility is mid April for my 2 little ones bdays which are April 13th and 15th. The other option is June 2010 or October 2010. Our last trip was in October and we loved the halloween overlay. I know October can be fairly busy and still had shorter hours. I'm trying to get an idea I guess of how Mid April would compare to Oct. Thanks so much!

We went April 24th for a week and it was pretty busy for that time of year. The CM's said it was very busy mid April but that was due to the fact that Easter was so late this year. The hours were Disneyland 10-8 on weekdays and 9-10/12 on the weekends, DCA was 10-6 weekdays and 10-9 on weekends. October has always been the best for us by far. Goodluck and have fun.

Thanks VallCopen! That really suprises me! I don't know why, I was just thinking that April would be slower...I'm glad I asked, instead of assuming.

It seems as though the past few years it is just getting busier and busier at Disneyland. We have been in April before and it wasn't to bad(but that was about 5 years ago). Just watch your holidays and Spring breaks, some of the Spring breaks go until mid April. It might have been busy because it was the starting of the Wine festival, I didn't think it would matter. I have been following some other posts and it seems to be pretty busy even right now. Good luck!!!

We were in DL April 5-8 (the week before Easter--our kids' spring break) and it was very crowded. I had fun while we were there but afterwards I realized we really didn't get to slow down and enjoy the parks. We were busy collecting fast passes and riding the rides which is okay for my family because we've been to Disney before but we had a German exchange student with us and she probably didn't get to experience the magic of the park. The good thing is DL was open from 8 a.m. - midnight and DCA was open from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. (I think it was open this late--maybe it closed at 9 p.m.). We didn't have any problem getting there in the morning but we never stayed until the park closed--we were too tired. I think the latest we stayed was 11 p.m. one night (no fastpasses needed at that time).

We visitited DLR towards the end of April last year (4/20-4/24) it was a great time to go, I think this had a lot to do with Easter being in March last year. I'd say be prepared for big crowds until about a week after Easter. I hope to make another trip towards the end of April next year (DSs B-day is 4/20) Easter is 4/4 next year so I think a week or so after that would be fine.

Well I was in DL from April 18-24. I thought the crowds were pretty light. The longest line up was 40 minutes for Splash, Nemo and Indiana Jones. A lot of the rides I found were walk on or a 5 minute wait. I thought it was a great time to go. Its the week after spring break.

We went April 12-19 Spring Break sure. But crowds were not that bad, I heard the socal passes were blocked for a couple weeks in April and that had some effect on crowd size. Although the last couple days I noticed an increase around 1 pm.
The weather was also cool the beginning of the week (downright cold atnight) and progressively got warmer; not sure if that had anything to do with the crowds. The hours for DL were 8am-12am

I would go in April again :)
