We are a large party but the other half arrives today so it was just us & our kids last night.
We are staying at Bahama Bay by Wyndam Vacation Rentals.
We had our dinner in the oven last night and I called to inform the front desk that neither shower had hot water. I told them to please come up and fix it tomorrow as we were getting ready to turn in.
Minutes later, everything goes black. The power to the entire resort shuts off. The kids are terrified. No light anywhere in the room. The emergency light in our Villa didn't function.
I went down to the front desk because the line was busy.
No lights there either. Only lights on are on outside hallways.
I greeted the guest services very friendly because I knew they were having a rough night, but we had just driven down from PA and were looking forward to a relaxing evening.
I confirmed when the power was to be back on (an hour) and that there was a flashlight in the utensil drawer (which we then discovered didn't have batteries). I then told them about, how I knew that they didn't cause if, but I had to feed the kids granola bars for dinner because it was late (power had been off for about an hour at this point) and our dinner had been in the oven. I also reiterated the hot water issue and stressed that I paid a decent amount of money for this room. Another representative interrupted and said, "The power is off in a 5 mile radius. We can't control the power." And I said, "Well neither can we." Should I expect some kind of compensation for our troubles?
Now it's a new day and we only have one more night here before we check into AKL. So I'm going to get ready and enjoy the parks!!!
