We have been several times in March and Oct (spring break and mid to late Oct) and have found both time periods to be just ok crowd and weather-wise. Since we went last Oct and have APs, we chose mid Sept for this trip. We will miss MNSSHP, but were hoping very small crowds would make up for this. So, I do realize the summer and holiday crowds are probably the worst, but we've never been there to experience it. I feel March and Oct were still pretty crowded, with approx 45 waits for many of the Fantasyland and Buzz Lightyear type rides by midday. Can anyone who was there the past few Septs verify just how uncrowded (and unbearable weather-wise) it is? Thanks!

We used to go the second week of September every year but the last couple years we have gone the last week of Sept/first week of October.

We found the crowds to be great the first couple weeks of Sept with it a little busier later in the month. The longest line we waited in was 15 mins for Splash last year. The weekends were very busy I thought, especially compared to the weekdays.

Weather wise was fine for us, warm enough for a water park but you weren't dying from the heat either. It was definitely warm though.

I have found it to be quite uncrowded but lots of thunderstorms and fairly hot weather.

My husband and I have been to WDW at the beginning of Sept. for the last 8 years. We love going at that time because the crowds were very low. The longest we had to wait in line was 15 min. The weather is usually pretty nice, it did seem to rain almost every day in the afternoon for maybe 5 minutes. Last year, we went in April because we had our first child and thought it would be too hot for her in Sept. and this year we are going in May. I would have to say that Sept. is a GREAT time to go.

Have a wonderful time!!

We love September. We usuallly go the 3rd or fourth week and have always found that there are essentially no crowds. The weather is still pretty hot at times, but the thuderstorms help cool you down and we really don't mind the rain.

We are taking a suprise trip in 10 days and I am nervous about the crowds as we are so used to September. I also don't have a clue what clothes to pack this time either. In September you just need shorts, tanks, tevas and a poncho!

Have fun!

and I usually take t shirts, capris, 2 pair on thin jeans, and a sweatjacket. If its cold (and it usually hits 70s in the evenings), I just throw the sweatjacket on over my tshirt. I usually don't wear shorts at all (unless it is in the high 90s) so a sundress or capris are usually good enough in March. You might want ti check the weather websites, as I've heard it has actually gotten cold (huh) in FL this winter. If that streak is continuing, I would bring a thin sweatshirt or two for the evenings and early mornings.

We went right after Sept. 11th, 2001, so as far as crowds go, I can't comment. It was extrodinarily uncrowded then, for obvious reasons (we ended up driving down there.)

However, the weather was (to me) unbelievably hot! I would say it was 90+ each day, but it only rained 2 days of the 7 we were there, and it wasn't for the whole day. I was miserable with the heat, but that could just be because I weighed significantly more then and was out of shape.

Still, we'll be going at the earliest at the end of October from now on, and usually going from Dec. through Feb. just to get out of this nasty Michigan weather and into the moderate Fla. winter climate!

Have fun!

Sherri :)
