Hi we are staying for 15 nights on the Dp in october
We have upgraded 2 of our boys to the Adult plan as the other 1 will be 10 and a Disney adult and the twins wont like the fact they have to order from the kids meals and he gets adult desserts :lmao:

My question is that the Twins wont eat that much where as my 10 yr old will, we are going to let the Twins share at TS "not buffets as I know they cant" and we will pay OOP at the Signatures we have choosen for all 3 boys as my son will be 9 for half his trip and so can still order of that menu! From experience they all actually LOVE the signature kids meals as they are so different and the desserts really good!
We will be using up the left over credits for our signature meals so we can do even more Character buffets :thumbsup2

Because we will have so many TS meals throughout the trip and because we always pretty much share QS meals as they are so big we will have a load of QS left over!
I know that you can not now use up the QS for 3 snacks
"boy was that great when we could the boys took back nearly a case of sweets and lollys from our 21 night trip "

So....................... my question is what QS meals from around the parks etc could we collect as snacks to take with us? or meals that we could keep for a day or 2? I mean are there any meals that come with pre-packaged foods that we could keep for our wk at Universal as we will be staying at AOA for 3 nights without Dp and then moving onto either a hotel on I-drive or Hard rock at Universal I know fresh foods wont keep more then a day or so .... we intend on collecting the drinks up from the meals as we will be staying at SSR and have a fridge! but do any meals come with bags of chips or pastrys? etc we could use any pastrys for snacks or breakfast for the actual 15 nights but keep anything that will keep for the other wk.

The boys want to save their snack credits to buy loads of sweets to take back :lmao: also they have friends they want to give to... Im hoping that MNSSHP will also give them plenty to take back home to england with them I know last yr we had to give half the sweets from that to the maid!! This yr they will be taking a suitcase each "not between them" as Ive learnt my lesson about them wanting to bring loads back:rotfl2:

I hope that this has made some sense :confused3 and i have not confused you all with what Im hoping to do :)

I'd say to look into QS meals at the bakeries. I know Main St. Bakery has a "meal" that consists of a baked good, a piece of fruit, and a drink. Not sure if it's breakfast only though, but the baked good would keep for a day or two, and the fruit is fruit. Beyond that, I'm far from a QS expert (I do deluxe because I don't really enjoy the QS meals :p)

I also believe that some QS at resorts may have prepackaged sandwiches and stuff (I know the grab and go at Cafe Rix at CSR for example does this...or used to). Since they're wrapped, they may keep an extra day or so as well.

Thanks
we was going to do Deluxe but with 3 boys who want top eat and go ride we thought 1/2 a day was pushing :rotfl:

we have a few days where we have a Character breakfast in the morning and then a TS in the evening so they wont stop and eat in the day they never want to even stop to drink!! so I know that although we may use up a few QS when they are tired we will have tones left like our last trip!

It's mostly fresh food (i.e., will need to refrigerated), but Sunshine Seasons at Epcot has some pre-packaged foods.

The food court at POR has chips and fruit that can be part of your QS meal (in place of the dessert, I think).

At the foodcourt in SSR you can get packaged crispy cakes, shaped like a flip flop & Mickey as your dessert that you could take. You can also get tubes of Ritz, but that might be a snack item. At Starring roles you get a pkt of crisps (fries) or piece of fruit as part of the cs meal. We're thinking the same as we are 11 nights SSR followed by 5 nights RPR.

At DTD, you can go to Earl of Sandwich and order sandwiches to go. They come with chips. They have brownies that are fabulous, fruit and other packaged item for desserts.

Don't forget your meal credits are good until midnight of check out day. So even though you are moving on to AoA, you can still eat that entire day with your credits and then grab pastries and juice for the next day breakfast.:thumbsup2

We will typically get sandwiches on our last day to eat on the plane trip home. EoS is a great place to do this. However be aware that they have to heat all their sandwiches to finish cooking the bread. This hasn't really been an issue for us but just thought you would like to know. Also, when we are taking sandwiches for trip home, or a day trip to a beach, we will order our sandwiches dry, with dressings, etc. on the side. That way they don't get soggy.

We have also gotten sandwiches at GF's Gasparilla Grill and Games. They have some excellent sandwiches and they will package them up in nice containers. They offer chips as a side and, I think, some small salads. They have some dessert choices that will keep as well.

If you plan ahead and bring some Ziplocs and/or containers your food will last longer. Also I have found that when I take sandwiches home I will remove the meat, etc from the bread and keep them separately. Again, keeps the bread from getting soggy. Also, I would remove and lettuce-it doesn't hold well.

Will your refillable mugs you will be able to get quite a stockpile of bottled beverages with your food court meals. Last year we had quite a few leftover and we gave them to a family from Brazil who had just checked in. We couldn't take them on the plane so they weren't any good for us. They were all unopened. :goodvibes

You could even get something like chicken strips and eat them cold. Just put the in your fridge as soon as you can. Cold fried chicken is yummy!

these sound like a fab idea I know the boys did like the Mickey crispy cakes!

We are so stuck on what to do now with AOA I keep changing my mind trying to decided wether we should go straight to I-drive so we are nr to Universal and all the shopping:cheer2: for the whole 6 nights finishing with 2 at RPR
so 4 nights I-drive 2 nights Universal Hotel and get the 14 day Universal ticket so we can do 4/5 hours a day Universal parks then afternoon/evening of shopping!

Can not wait till its all planned out and i know to just relax :rotfl2: we will definatly collect as many drinks as we can for the non Dp days and hope we can get as many bags of crisps desserts that we can keep! we NEVER end up eating the sides that come with the QS meals as we do at least 1 TS meal a day so hoping to keep all those as well like the cookies etc :thumbsup2

Thanks I did think of this and thought that we should definatly book a TS meal for that day wether it be lunch or dinner then ill get a few QS meals "that i now we will have left " for dinner plus a few spare so we can use the drinks and sides :thumbsup2

we may have changed our plans :lmao: we might be going to stay at I-drive for 4 nights 1st then 2nights Universal site hotel......If we do this then we will pack up spend the day at the pool at SSR or go to the parks then we will make sure still to stay as laste as possible as we dont want to waste our change over day and go for lunch/dinner to use up TS meals or QS meals that our left over :)
