Hi

DD is on a mainly liquid diet with the exception of 1 pureed solid food meal per day for FTT. She drinks this stuff called Nutren Junior by Nestle and it only comes in 8oz cans (250 cals each). How can I tote around the cans without them getting too warm in the sun? What kind of mini (plush preferably) cooler will keep the cans and bottles cooled off through a whole day?

TIA!

I would just get a small six pack cooler and fill it with ice every morning before heading off to the parks. Then I would rent a locker at the park each day and head up there when I needed a can. Just my two cents. That way you are'nt carrying it around and it should stay cooler out of the FL sun.

I'd get something like this http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/st...egory=5182&cat4=2953&shop_method=pp&feat=dp50 and put some of those little ice packs inside it with the cans. Not sure if this particular one would be large enough because I don't know how many cans you would need to carry each day.

I am not familar with this product, does it need to be refrigerated so it won't spoil, or is it that your child just prefers it cold? The reason I ask that is that if you put the cans in the tote inside the fridge in your room overnight, they would stay cold for a few hours without the ice packs - although I wouldn't risk it if you are trying to keep them cold to avoid spoilage. Good luck!

There are baby care centers at each of the parks, and they will store (refrigerate) medication that needs to be, and they will store "small equipment"...since the area is air conditioned they would probably store the formula (labeled, of course) for you during the day, keeping it cool enough for her to drink, and saving you from toting it all day.....the centers are well located, fairly centrally in the 2 parks I used them at (Epcot and MK).

I was going to suggest the babycare centers too. I would carry one or 2 cans with me and then keep more in the baby centers. Just drop them off in the morning and go back as needed for them. For the ones you take with you I would get a small softsided cooler and keep it under the stroller in the basket.

Thanks everyone :) It's supposed to be kept at room temp but when it's opened, it needs to be chilled. I've never had to deal with formula before (both were nursed but only DS went to regular milk) so I'm not familiar with travelling out in the sun with it. I'll check out the coolers and look into the baby centers when we get to the park :thumbsup2
