How to tell if there are Park Reservations available for on-site guests?

Planning a last minute trip to Disneyland, and would like to see park availability for on-site guests. I can view the regular availability (one day completely unavailable), but if I go through the motions of booking a package (hotel + tickets) it shows me a reservation calendar with the same availability as the regular calendar. I was under the impression that there is more availability for on-site guests, and I would love to see that calendar without committing to a package.

To view the hotel availability I believe you need to have a reservation linked. When we were at the GCH in December we (in person) added days during a busy week and were told as hotel guests not to worry about reservation availability - that they would make it happen regardless. You could try calling the front desk directly to ask. They were super helpful for our stay.

Thanks! This is what I wanted to hear before I committed to a package & would lose a $200 if we had to cancel.

just add "resort" to the URL under segments (don't forget the comma).

See below: I added AP and resort to it

Thank you for making it so all calendars show together. It is fascinating that the PH calendar is basically the photographic negative (complete opposite) of the AP/MK calendar, as far as availability for May (ie MK are all full on the weekends and open in the weekdays; PH are full on the weekdays and open on the weekends)…
