Everyone in my husband's office was given a coupon for a free 12 pack of pepsi product the other day. I tried to use it at walmart today and the lady insisted that it was counterfeit and wouldn't even scan it. It has an address to redeem on it an expiration date. How do I tell if its real or not? The lady was quite rude about it, too.

The only valid coupons for free pepsi that I can find require another purchase of pepse products.

I DID find an article through google talking about someone getting an email with free coupons for pepsi and doritos. Turns out those were fake coupons and not valid. I would ask the person who handed them out where they came from.

If that's the case than there are going to be a lot of disappointed soldiers this weekend. lol:headache: I feel bad for the cashiers on post.

I don't know how to tell.

I once had a coupon that I picked from the proctor and gamble site (they print them and send them to you) that said one thing but had a picture of another product on it. It was strange, and I didn't notice it until I was at the store with the product in my hand. I gave it to the cashier and she looked at it. She mentioned that it said one thing and showed another. I said it's a one time coupon that they sent me and I have no idea why it doesn't match up. She took the coupon. I know it wasn't forged so they shouldn't be out any money.

i work for a grocery store and yes the pepsi and doritos are fake. we use a site called cents-off.com...and it has a spot for fraud coupons...the list quite large...
i do have to tell other couponers/customers that they are fake..that is quite hard..but alot of the time the coupons are passed without intent...
but it sounds too good to be, it is....
some other popular fakes are free velveeta, 10.00 off batteries, free pampers
