Hi. I am planning a trip for a group of 8 next summer to Disney World. 4 of us will use my DVC points and the other half is planning on renting points from a third party for their stay. What is the best way to request that we have adjoining rooms - or at least be in the same building - since the reservations will be made separately. We are thinking of staying at Saratoga Springs. Thanks!!

We just went through something similar. We are using our points for a 2 bedroom and our daughter is using her points for a studio. We had to call MS with a 3 way call to get this done. I called MS on my house phone and then called my daughter in OH on the cell phone then let DD and MS talk to each other. We had to do this just to be listed as "traveling together" and were not promised anything.

Now if you want connecting rooms you have to specifically state that too. Adjoining is considered somewhere in the vicinity.....

Send MS an email adding the traveling with notation/reservation number to your reservation and have the owner of the rented points do the same.

Certainly letting them know from both directions. Just request they be same building and as close as possible.

OP, the words you want to use is "Travel with" when contacting MS by either e-mail, phone call, or chat.
You need to contact MS and the person your other family is renting points from will need to contact MS, with the reservation number of the other reservation.

Thanks everyone. Really, as long as we are in the same proximity (eg, same bus stop, etc), we will be good - the will be the first Disney trip for the other half. :)
