How to Points Transfer?

I'm not sure how to do the mechanics on this. OKW is my home resort, with an August UY. We want to make a reservation for Oct 09 when our booking window opens, but will need to get a points transfer to have enough points for the trip. If something happens, and we aren't able to use all the points, what happens to those transferred points? Does the UY of the transferred points come in to play? I'm sure the answer is here somewhere, I am just not having any luck with the search engine.

You will need another OKW owner to transfer to you points to use the 11 month window. The points transfered will retain the use year of the owner. So if you get, for example, April 09 points from the owner they will remain April points and you will have to use them as April points, meaning take a trip by the end of March 2010 or bank them.
