How to pack?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but can anyone out there help me with how to pack my bags so that airport security can go through without a problem? I'm really nervouse about someone going through my suitcases and getting everything back where it belongs. THANK YOU! Helen

First, someone told me NOT to stuff my bag ... makes it hard to put the stuff back in if your bag is searched.

For my grandkids I packed their daily outfits in gallon size ziplock bags (shirt, shorts, undies & socks in each bag). For myself I just packed *personal* items in ziplock bags (undies/bras).

I also packed my daughter's film in a ziplock bag, put it in my carry-on and at the security checkpoint I pulled it out and asked that it be hand-checked ... I admit that I'm a bit paranoid about it being ruined by the scanner.

I suggest Space-Bags! They make a whole pile of clothes VERY SMALL in your suitcase. I've used them many years, and I've never had to open them or anything. They have many different sizes too.

I pack everything in Hefty 2 1/2 gallon bags or Ziplock 2 gallon bags. When I leave out of a small airport they go through the bag before it gets taken to the back. I don't think they have the x-ray equipment so they do a hand search right in front of you (and everybody else). So I pack all my clothes in the bags. It keeps things from getting messed up and even saves space.

I don't know if your traveling with young children. But if they're in strollers and or car seats, be prepard to put them through the scanner.

Airport security searched through my bags every time (on the way there and back). They didn't break anything or take anything...but it was just a pain in the butt.
