How to make ADRs at 180 and fit in Fantasmic Pkg

We are going in March 2012 so the 180 mark is fast approaching. Getting ready to make ADRs based on park hours but I am not sure which nights the Fantasmic Pkgs will be offerred. On the DIS it currently says Fantasmic will be every night the week we are there at 8:30. When will disney know when they are offering the F! package or is it offerred each and every night that it plays?

Since we wont have park hoppers I need to plan our schedule around the F! pkg so that we are already in the park that day.... and that depends upon EMH and crowd calendar.

The F. dining package is usually offered every night that F. is shown. But right now they're only showing ADR availability on the old twice weekly schedule. Hopefully they'll update their dining dates before you need to make your ADRs. If not, then I'd book one of the limited days showing availability and then switch it out when they expand the dining dates. If you did that, you'd only have to rearrange one other ADR. Does that make any sense?? Good luck!

You can dine anywhere and then go to see Fantasmic. The special seating is not really the best seats in the house and you have to walk an awfully long way up and down hilly back roads. We quit doing the pkg several yrs ago when we got regular seats front and center without any hassle. Have a great time no matter which way you choose.

Since it is during a spring break time I dont think anyone in my group will be up for waiting in line for 1-2 hrs before, and that is my impression of the typ. non package wait to get in - am i off base?

We're going in March, too, and are just going to chance it. Since they are showing Fantasmic! every night, I would think that would cut the crazy lines down some. Am I wrong?

Here's how the F. package works for us. It may be different for you......
This time around we will have free dining. But we usually have the dining plan anyway. We know what day we want to be at DHS for Fantasmic. We know that we will want a TS meal for lunch or dinner that day (so we would be using at least 1 TS credit anyway). We HATE waiting in long line ups. I mean really hate this (one of the reasons we won't be there in March). So we get the F. package.

Yes, you may be able to get in with no waiting in line 30 min. before the show and find center section seats. But I doubt it in March. And if you can do it, then so can we: we'll show up and go to the reserved seating, but if we see better seats, we'll sit there instead. So for us, F. package makes a lot of sense.

If you don't mind standing in a long line and waiting, or have PHs and are willing to gamble on 'just walking in', then I say go for it. To each their own!
