The boys left and the 3 of us took the kids over to the area near the Turf Club. They have a bar and couches, table & chairs, a pool table, etc. It’s very homey in there.

Yes, we had no trouble at all settling in as if we were "home."

I checked us in and Waldo kept pestering me about who was first and we were there before those people and they got in before we did. OMG, sometimes he’s worse than a little kid. I finally had to snap at him that we would get called when OUR table was ready.

The area in front of the restaurant is relatively small, but somehow he got away. I send out the search and recovery team and they brought him back within a few minutes. We’re really getting better at finding him these days. He generally wanders into food or candy shops and sure enough, we found him a the Kringle thingle bakery.

At least he has a pattern now

I went to sleep and then I woke up around 3am with the worse stomach ache ever! I was doubled over in pain and then I felt it. That yucky feeling in your throat right before you blow. I won’t go into details, but let me just say, Champagne Mojito’s and School Bread DON’T MIX!

As we walked over to Norway for our Akerhaus Princess Lunch, or what now affectionately call Yakerhaus Princess Lunch

Well, not before Waldo jumped up and shouted "Take our picture!" Ariel practically ran over to Waldo and posed with him. And then she flirted with him. It was a riot. And Waldo, well Waldo loved it! He was grinning from ear to ear for the rest of the meal.

There was a family of 6 sitting next to us, they had 4 little girls ranging from say 10ish to 3ish and when a Princess would show up at the table, the youngest would dive under the table and refuse to come out. It was a riot!

Bet they're glad they paid for it, huh? Well, maybe not so bad if the others enjoyed it.

All I have to say about Yakerhaus is YUCK! It was soooo nasty and soooo overpriced. I would rather spend the money at CRT or even 1900 Park Faire if Maddie ever wanted to do a Princess meal again.

We're going this weekend but I guess it's for the kids, not us!

It was a night I’ll never forget

Hmmm – Don't you mean a night that you would mostly not forget. Seems there was a little fuzziness there.

I took mom shopping one day and have you noticed that receipts from the department stores now tell you how much you’ve actually saved from shopping? Well, that line is mom’s favorite part of shopping. Anyway, last time we went shopping we spent roughly 96 dollars or so. Well that little line at the bottom of the receipt said by spending 96ish dollars, we saved $90! Well mom thought that was the greatest and came home to tell Waldo how she saved him $90 today. Yup, fuzzy spending and fuzzy savings.

My mom taught me this trick when I was a teenager. Sometimes I wish she hadn’t.

I wasn’t really impressed with the menu there. No burgers, no pasta, just flat breads, salads and sammies. You’d think with it being such a large resort, they’d have a larger menu.

I totally agree! I couldn’t believe their counter service was so bad. I was disappointed.

We did the whole tour and looked at the AKL villas – OMG, they’re so beautiful! The details are incredible.

We just stayed in a studio – concierge level and loved it. Before we left, we went to SSR to check out the 1 bedroom model. DH is saying he wants to add more points. He didn’t even want to buy the few points we have there.

The kids were so tired and zonked out! How precious Evan is. Love the photos of Maddie and her doll. Her hair really held up well!

Great Update!The pix of the Princesses were sooo cute even if the food wasn't !!I've decided next Sept. with the family to do 1900 .I checked the menus and hands down it sounds better !!

I would recommend 1900 over Yakershaus any day! Enjoy!

Yes, the photographer told us it was complimentary, but I knew better. They raised the prices to cover the photo package.
