How to leave MK at night and go to WEST or 192 exit of DW

Hi all,
Every time we stay late at MK we seem to get spit out at the east entrance over by DTD. Is there any way to exit and stay on World Drive so we can go to 192 west? I am always kind of lost when its dark out so I don't know if they intentionally direct traffic to LBV/DTD area at night or if I just miss the signs. We always stay over on the west side and it takes us a while to get home if we go the long way around.
Thanks!

You should stay on the main road (World Drive) until almost to I-4. You should not exit until you see the signs for 192. The exit will be on the right and once you begin exiting, you will want to stay on the right.

It sounds like you are exiting far too early since there is only one way out of the TTC parking lot by car (and that is to World Drive). You aren't forced to exit. But if you aren't paying attention, you will exit.

Another weird way is to go follow the signs for Animal Kingdom Lodge, then at the stoplight before the lodge turn left on to Sherberth Rd. Follow that down to 192 west (Irlo Bronson Mem. Highway). Don't tell anybody else about this.

We live in Clermont, and when we first moved down here we missed the 192 West exit so many times! The signage is pretty confusing if you ask me. The part that confuses me is that the sign says 192 / To I-4 East Orlando, and I'm usually all "East?! I'm going West, OBVIOUSLY that's not my exit." And then I miss it and end up on I-4. Here are some Google maps pics:

1) Keep going South on World Drive until you actually exit WDW. You'll cross under the WDW "main gate" as seen below. See ya real soon. :)

1) Then there will be a split in the road. Take the right exit.

2) Then the road will split again, take the right exit again.

Ok thank you all of you. I think I get freaked out because its dark out. Staceyeileen that signage is confusing for me even during the day and I have also missed it a bunch of times. But I swear I get funneled out by the Contemporary exit and then I'm SOL. I will try to pay more attention next time.

Look at the map and count exits. Learn how many exits it is to the exit you need.

That helps.

I have the exits memorized near my house for the same reason. Can get confusing sometimes. So I have a mental inventory of the exits in order so that I can pretty much always remember where I need to be.

I do the same! Would it be so hard to put some exit numbers on those signs? The thing that annoys me the most is that all the WDW signs direct you toward LOCATIONS but don't actually say what road you're getting off on. For example, you follow a sign to Animal Kingdom but nowhere does it say you're getting off at Osceola Parkway.

Correct. Stay on World Drive until you leave property. When you get to the green exit signs (not the WDW purple ones), that's when you look for the 192 exit on your right.

You could do that. At quiet times, it isn't really necessary. I find that way a bigger advantage arriving at WDW in the morning.

You are correct about not using it at quiet times. It was a huge advantage though during Christmas week because there would be a huge backup on the ramp to 192.
