OK, we have one day where we weren't going to go to the parks, but we don't have a car either.

So, I was thinking that we could sleep in, maybe go mini-golfing, and then see what the Boardwalk has.

I also want to try Beaches and Cream at BC since I have Q and C vouchers.

So how are these laid out geographically? How do we get there?
We are staying at Allstars Movies.

Any other ideas for fun things on property (we are going with 3 adukts and 3 kids DD7, DD4 and DD3).

Thanks

I'm not sure how much this will help you, but since you don't have a car visit this TRANSPORTATION WIZARD to get an idea on how to get around the resort by different means....i.e. walking, by boat, by bus, or by car.
I hope this gets you started at least.

Blessings,
Denise :teeth:

Here's a link to a RESORT MAP so you can see where everything is. If it's hard to see, just click anywhere on the map to make it bigger.

Not sure what the transportation wizard would say but I would take a bus to Downtown Disney and then switch to a bus that goes to the Boardwalk. If you have UPH passes you could take a bus to Epcot and walk through the park to the World Showcase then walk to the Boardwalk through the Internation Gateway. This would not be a good idea if you don't want to burn up a park entry fee.

You might also be able to take a bus to Epcot(not entering the park) and switch to a bus for the Boardwalk. That would be less time, but I am not sure there is a bus that goes to Boardwalk from Epcot since it is such a close walk from the gateway.

You could take the bus to MGM and walk over to the boat dock. The boat will drop you off right on the Boardwalk. It will also circle around to the Beach Club for a visit to Beaches and Cream.

There is also a sidewalk from MGM to the Boardwalk. It is a bit of a walk, but some folks say the boat is too slow for them.

There is no bus from Epcot to the Boardwalk. You can take the boat or walk.

Hi,
We just stayed at the Boardwalk in December and we really enjoyed it.

To get there from your hotel the best choice is probably taking the bus to MGM. From there you can take the boat to the Boardwalk. You can also walk from MGM, about a 10 min walk.

If you take the boat from MGM, the first stop is the Swan/Dolphin. From there we would get off and walk the rest of the way to the Boardwalk, a short walk.

If you are going to the Yacht club or Beach club first, stay on the boat and that will be the next stop after Swan/Dolphin.

Other options would be to take the bus from your hotel to either Downtown Disney or TTC. From there take another bus to the Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach club.

If you are going the be traveling after MGM closes you may HAVE to go through either DTD or TTC.

Enjoy!!

How about a water park ?

If you mini-golf at the winter summerland you will be right at the blizzard beach water park. If you have php tickets you could use a plus for the water park for the day and than walk over to the mini golf park in the evening.

With 3 kids the day I went to Epcot would be the day I went to B&C and checked out the Boardwalk. Say around 2 pm for a brake from the walking for the kids. Use the international gateway exit. Take a boat or a short walk to the BC or BW. Your kids will want the boat.

Beaches and Cream is a very SMALL place. I would not go at meal time as the wait could be long. 2-3 pm would be the best time for me.

The bus to MGM and a walk over to the boat dock is your best bet. From MGM it is a short boat ride or there is a walkway to the BW from there also.
You can also walk to Fantasia mini golf from the BW. Ask a CM and they will point you in the right direction. You can get there through the Swan parking lot. Have fun.:wave2:

You can also get to Fantasia mini golf by walking along the beach walkway between the Swan and Dolphin than crossing Epcot Resorts Bvld at the unprotected pedestrian walkway (be careful of traffic)

Agreed that best way is a Bus to MGM then boat to the Swan or walk up to the Boardwalk start and cross over the bridge to the S&D

Another option if you can spare the $$ is to take a cab

thanks
