How to get to MK if Monorail is being refurbished?

Will be at MK in September. Just read Monorail not operating thru December. How do we get in?
We are staying at All Star Movies. We always drive...never done busses/ferry. Will be there on EMH morning...want to get there early. Thanks.

If that is the monorail in question, then OP will have to take the Ferry instead of the express monorail. It shouldn't have too much of an impact being down, because it is an off time, and the monorail doesn't hold nearly as much as the Ferry

This makes me regret booking a last minute to WDW for DMIL. The buses are a HUGE pain and the Ferry is sooooo slow.

I'd definitely say the bus is the lesser of two evils, if that helps And especially because it's September. Your resort will be nowhere near at capacity at that time.


Oh man, I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'd literally rather swim across Bay Lake with my entire family on my back than take that ferry at the TTC Wishing you safe and happy travels!

Let me get straight your staying at The all Star Movie. And your don't want to take the bus. So I assume your parking at the transportation center and you plan to get to the Magic Kingdom early. By the time you get to the transportation center to park and then take the tram either to the monorail if its working. If not working as you say they are going to direct you to a bus (let me tell you the line will be long).
One time I was on my way to Epicot and you have to change at the transportation center the monorail broke down we had to take a bus and the lines were long.

Think about that and the time you are going to waste taking you car.

Definitely take the bus to MK.

We took the ferry into MK and when leaving. Didn't have any issues with either time. of course going to MK was about 7:15 am and leaving was about 12:30 am
