How to get these designs to T-shirt???

Hi,

I've just found out about this design board, and would like to make some shirts for my family for our trip to WDW this Dec 08.
I know that I can ask for some images from these wonderful designers on this board, then how can I save the images and transfer them into my T-shirts.

Sorry to ask this question but I've tried to read as many post as I could and still couldn't find the info.
My daughter and son will be very excited to know that they can make their own Disney T-shirts.

HELLO and welcome to t-shirt designing. It's addictive once you get started . I'll try to give you some simple steps for getting your shirts ready.

1. Get all your designs together that you want and make sure all the colors, names exc are right.

2. To save it to your computer right click the image choose copy then open a folder (usually in your c drive) and name it disney or something you can easlily depict as your t-shirt folder.

3. In the folder right click and choose paste and now your design is saved.

4. To print the design you will need to make a shopping trip Go to Wal-mart, Michaels, Hobby Lobby or any craft store and buy shirt transfers. They come in packs as few as 5 and I've seen them in as many as 20.

5. Once you have your shirt transfers you will use them like paper in your computer to print on. Read the instructions on the transfers because different brands require differnt steps.

6. Once printed, you iron the DISign onto your shirt and your basic shirt is ready to post on here for us to see.

I know it's quick steps so anyone fill in the gaps that I may have left out. Happy DISigning and enjoy your trip.

Lynn don't be sorry for asking questions. It pays in the long run to ask them..by asking, you won't risk wasting transfers or shirts. I usually save to my picture folder and then I leave the design until I have it ironed on....when using a dark transfer you just need to print the transfer. To use a white or light shirt, you will need a white transfer and then mirror image the design in the advanced print part. You will also at some point in the print stage need to be sure to select the correct type of paper..You also can make the image smaller by selecting the size from the print preference...I use jiffyshirts.com to order my shirts..I love their many brands and colors and they are inexpensive to top it all off. Plus, you get the shirts in 2-3 days, or at least I have gotten them that fast...good luck and please ask any questions you may have

Can anyone tell me how to save the image using a Mac. Since you can't right click on the image what do you do? My only other option is doing this on my computer at work. Thanks for any help.

Sometimes people go to the person's photo bucket or picture sharing account. When you do that, be sure to open the picture you are trying to copy to 100%. Sometimes that means you click on it and the picture opens bigger. In photo bucket it has the % on the side, make sure it says 100%. then right copy it to your computer. I found out the hard way that I was copying the small picture and when I tried to print it, the picture came out blurry. the thread below gives step by step great instructions on how to do DARK transfer paper only.

I don't know if you have an desktop mac or laptop. I have an i-book, so I just ctrl and click, then select as save image on my desktop. It should be locate on your desktop. Then I just drag it into the correct folder I want to place it in. I hope this helps you any.
