I've checked out the website with the dates that the Entertainment rate is available and two of the three days we are going is on the list! June 4th and 5th. How do I book it?
Phone the number listed on the Hojo website. Ask for in- houes reservations and then tell them you would like to book with the entertainment rate. Also, if you have other dates (not currently available at entertainment rate) you can get a 15% (I think that is the %) DIScount.
Do not call central reservations as they will not know what you are talking about asking for these rates.
You will need to purchase an Entertainment Book (the one from your local area is fine). The HoJo will ask for the card that is glued in the front of the book when you check-in/out for the discount.

Or go with the AP rate if you have one. That is 20%.
You don't really need to purchase the actual Entertainment book if you wish not to. You can buy a card for a couple of bucks off Ebay. The great thing about it, though, is that any entertainment book from around the world will work.
Sherwin, if you shop at Safeway, you should buy the Seattle area book...this year and last year, the book has 4 $5 coupons to Safeway. And each year I've been able to buy it for under $20.
For years I got one free because I'm a teacher. This year, for the first time I can remember, we didn't get free copies. The school was selling them for $30. At the time I had no use for one, so I didn't buy it.
Last week I tried both Freecycle and Craig's List hoping to get a card someone didn't want or need. No such luck...but I did have people offer to sell me their card for nearly the full price of the card and book!
I went online this week and bought the local book. It was $19.50- no shipping! I figure the HoJo's rate alone will be worth the money, and we'll surely find enough coupons we can use (such as Safeway!) to make it pay for itself!
BTW...I didn't want to do the eBay thing out of fear of getting scammed. It would be way to easy to make up a batch of fake cards. The last 3 eBay transactions I did were not happy experiences. I quit using it over 2 years ago and had no desire to go back!
