How to get purple "wax" crayon out of carpet?

We are moving and I knew something would happen to the carpet.

Any suggestions on how to get purple crayon out of carpet?

The crayons my DD was using are especially soft and it just looks worse if I get it wet.

We had to turn in our lease minivan a few years ago and in the back seat there was a yellow crayon that melted all over the carpet....I tried a bunch of stuff to no avail.......then I tried just plain old fantastic and a scrub brush.....took a little effort but it came out just fine.

I had a candle dem about a month ago. The lady had said that she had hot wax drip onto a carpet and she put a old towel on top of the spot and used a hot iron to take it out. Claims it worked like a charm on a white rug no less!

I used the iron trick and a pair of my DFi's old ripped up PJs That worked well too to get the wax out of the carpeting.
